Cloupor Mini Mod 30W

Questions for those that have the cloupor mini...
Does it go into a sleep mode that causes a delay to wake up and get that first vape or is it ready to vape instantly ?

Hows that magnetic door? Does it feel kind of loose when youre holding the mod ?

Is the door bowed or misfitting like the two minis that spanish speaking you tube review, who I feel may have bent his cover prying it off incorrectly ?

It goes to sleep after 2 minutes. When you press a button it has a 1 second delay before it fires up. It's not instant but I like it. The feel of sucking in air and suddenly get a rush of flavour hitting the tongue feels kinda nice to me.

I also read somewhere in this thread that another person also likes it as it the 1 second of pulling without firing can prime the wick.

The door fits perfectly on mine and doesn't feel loose at all. Mine doesn't rattle too like the ones in the video review. Maybe some of the ones released had a defect but they do have a warranty so maybe it can be replaced?

The 2 minute sleep is not annoying at all, it'll fire also with just 1 press, you just have to wait like 1 secon
My magnetic door does not feel loose & my cover fits perfectly. Yes if you start moving with it, it moves like 2mm or so, but i do not find it a con. It has magnetic switches. If I am out, i rather have a spare battery and swap it out without the need of a screwdriver. Thats also the reason I wanted a cloupor mini.

Now I might see that the door might be loose with Efest batteries, since they have an extra wrapper, I only have panasonic ncr1850PF batteries and LG 2500 mah 20 amp ones, and they fit. I seen some videos where the batter pull thingie makes it bigger and so the battery does not fit perfectly. Since I do not own Efest batteries, i can not comment on it

I'm using efest batteries (see pic) and it fits fine. No gaps, door tight and all. I also second the fact you mentioned about not having to screw when swapping batteries. It's so convenient!

As I see it the major cons are (subjective) and they are as follows:
1: battery door moves when you squeeze or play with it
2: if you pry off the the inside plastic housing for the wires and pcb you will find hot glue keeping the "housing" together. (DONT DO THIS YOU MAY BREAK THE HOUSING, not to mention it's not meant to be taken apart in the first place)
3: the 510 positive pin is not spring loaded but rather a Phillips head screw.
4: the "dna" chip reads accurate at sub ohms, but differs by about .1ohm past the 2.0 ohm mark from other "dna" boards.
5: 22mm and above atties have an overhang. er duh :D they should it's a mini!
6: 1 second to fire from sleep.. Ok, once you fire it, it takes 2 minutes to sleep.. in between that time it fires immediately.. Thinking back to when I used to smoke cigs, I can't recall leaving a cig unattended for 2 minutes lest I was drunk. Hmm, maybe that happened often :p

All these issues are typical if not already a part of just about every box mod on the market. The exception being the ohm's at 2.0+ being inaccurate.. Er, in that area, it's not an issue.. Only in the sub ohm department would this be an issue.. Unless you want to drop +$70 Even then some of those have even bigger issues.

With that said at an avg price point of $40 today, with a drop of $10, this is a no brainer... Get one..

Here's a reasonable review:

I didn't notice the link earlier. Great review and it mentioned about how it gets hot from chain vaping.

First time I've heard of it getting hot.

Mine gets warm chain vaping, but not hot. The topper gets hotter than the Mini. And my chain vaping can go through a 2ml Atlantis tank in about half an hour, with 3-5 second pulls, at my preferred setting of 25w.

EDIT: Just sat here and power vaped it for a few minutes at 30w...I suspect that much (but not all) of that warmth is actually just from conductivity between the topper and the Mini through the 510 connection, as it appears to heat from the top down.

Also keep in mind that it's a Mini, so it's not going to be as effective as a heat sink compared to a bigger box with more surface area and more metal, so it could feel a lot warmer in the hand than people are used to, while actually operating at the same working temperatures as other DNA clones.

Makes sense.

So after four days of using this thing, and going through more than 60ml of juice, I'm happy, and as I mentioned earlier, I paid a $20 premium to get it.

If Cloupor is listening, here's what I'd do on the next revision:

1. Better machining on the battery door. You can do it, you know you can. You're going to lose a lot of in-shop sales if people notice the side-to-side slop/rattle before buying it, and you're already losing internet sales thanks to videos and forum mention of this issue. IMHO this is the single biggest fail on this device, but the easiest to fix going forward.

2. Floating 510. Not that it NEEDS it, it just stops a lot of .....ing from prospective customers. People are expecting this on a 2015 APV.

3. Get rid of the sleep firing delay. Not that it needs it, it just stops a lot of .....ing from prospective customers

4. Make it a bit bigger in width and depth, 77x37x23mm or so, to get rid of "overhang" complaints with most tanks, and this would also clear up any issue with over-thick 18650 fitment behind the battery door.

5. Don't give in to pressure to put the USB on the side! Leave it on the bottom. Small as the Mini is, and as large as some tanks are getting, I prefer to leave it on its side, and pass-through vaping is a whole helluva lot easier with the port on the bottom too.

Gearbest has these in stock. Are they really that bad to order from. For 29.99 I'm really close to pulling the trigger. Or does anyone have any site that has them in stock for about 50 bucks.
I know nothing about gearbest only knowing people have been complaining about coupon codes being not honored.
Under 50 check ebay or wait a couple weeks and I'm sure other vendors will be offering good prices.

I would not trust Gearbest for anything.

Sorry for the quick side-topic.... Is amazon an OK place to get Samsung 25R batteries? Very convenient vendor for me....

Yes. I bought my LG HE2's from Amazon. Great prices.

I ordered from them for 29.99. I was nervous about it but I did receive tracking info and a pic of my package (that sounds bad) already. We'll see if it arrives
