That is very true. But I still say give me a Belgian Browning Superposed over the later Japanese examples. :)

I defer to your experienced wisdom. The last firearm I held in my hands was a pellet rifle for about one day when I was 13 years old. That was 52 years ago. LOL.

All credit for any firearms knowledge I might have needs to go to my grandfather who was an Olympic-class shooter and my father who is a gunsmith by night (Dentist by day). I've been shooting trap and skeet since I was eight years old and I've learned that I always have a lot to learn from the old timers. :) I personally prefer Beretta O/U shotguns, but my Brownings hold a special place since I inherited them from my grandfather.

I've been doing some testing with mine as far as usage. I put a 3100mah efest and vaped until it said "Low Battery" and it showed 3.47v when I put the battery in my charger. It took just under 6 hrs to charge so it used about 2900mah of the battery. I'm doing the same with a LG HE2 today.

So far, my CM is working flawlessly. The delay still bothers me but not nearly as much as my FT Hana mini clone with a 1 sec delay and 1 min to sleep. Right now, I'm using a rda with a .9Ω dual coil at 25w.

We all must be happy campers with our minis. Not seeing any complaints at all on this thread. I know I'm still loving mine

Jay I was just thinking the same think. Now the Istick thread is too busy !! I'm still dealing with the poor istick pin. Also waiting for the mini I ordered from GB. I just checked where it is in tracking. It's stuck at Handover point where ever that is...........

I've pretty much given up following the istick thread. Not enough istick talk just random things happening over there.

Mine came in from GearBest, paid $29.99 total on a presale deal. (Apparently some folks expect presale items to ship as quickly as any other item. It’s a PRESALE! Gonna take longer! Otherwise, pay a little (or a lot) more to get it sooner.) GB "shipped" mine on 1-10-15 same as some of the other vendors I’ve seen (VaporTek was one). But GB took a full 30 days to get it to me. Now, for ME that is not a problem but for those wanting their gratification in a timelier manner, I’d suggest buying elsewhere. Me, I’ll just sit back and wait… and spend what I saved on more gear. As for negative GB feedback, there are people leaving neg. FB for problems that don’t even exist- one loon whining because they aren’t receiving the item I time for Christmas- when Christmas was still weeks away! I call BS on 90% of it- and I call the same BS on 90% of the positive FB. Don’t rightly know what to think about people thinking they have to threaten GB w/neg. FB to get a refund- I mean, really? But what I DO know- empirically, not anecdotally- is I bought three- separate- items so far from GB, paid less for them than anywhere else by a significant margin and everything’s here and in good shape. As for the GB haters- maybe actually try them before condemning them.

I was surprised at Cloupor’s packaging. It's actually done quite good considering this isn't a 'premium' brand. There's a plastic 'warranty card' under the shrink wrap along w/a scratch-off sticker w/authenticity code. The box has a foam lined lid and the bottom shaped compartments for the charger, mod and extras has a velour feel to it. There are some screws and four extra door magnets packaged inside of what looks like a small ring box and they include a soft bag w/drawstrings to stow it in.

But that all means nada if the mod is junk. So far I cannot find much wrong w/mine. I fired it at 30w for 15 seconds as Cloupor directs to check for a bad chip and it passed. The resistance agrees within a few hundredths of an ohm to my meter. Door fits tight, magnets do their job although w/enough sideways pressure you can make the door move. The enclosure’s solidly built. Not wild about the ‘adjustable’ 510, the pin’s RH threaded. Some attys fit flush, but most don't. I have plans for swapping it out anyway (along w/the 510 in my DNA 30 clone) but for most people this will be an issue. The 510 threads are tight at least, no wobbling. Attys overhang towards the side w/the buttons but for me that's a "so what" thing. Buttons are squared off and not as ‘clicky’ as some of the rounded tactile switches I've felt, but that's not something that is bothersome one way or the other. Not used to the screen being on the same side as the buttons, I will see how this works over time. At least the display is square to the window. The wake-up delay is too brief to be bothersome to me, the 2 min. before sleep is longer than my DNA 30 clone but it never bothered me anyway.

The exposed negative battery terminal looks okay; soldering is good, wires are rather small but same as other 30w mods I've seen. Haven't pulled the cover to see what it looks like there but I suspect there'll be the usual hot glue mess like some other cheap mods.

Open class slot car cobalt motor tip: If there’s debris on the door magnets, use a piece of “magnet putty” (aka poster putty, prolly already have some in the kitchen drawer) to remove it. Pressing the sticky putty onto the magnet traps the particles and removes them for good instead of just temporarily wiping them to the side of the magnet. Two second job, leaves no sticky residue. A bit of this putty (or harder clay) judiciously placed will keep the door from sliding around if that’s a problem.

Now that fasstech has disco'd the erl minis, does anyone know where to find them?

FastTech had to stop calling their Erlkonigin clones by that name. Now they're found by searching for Rebuildable Tank Atomizers (8ml):

Erlkonigin clones at FastTech

Also, angelcigs is having a clearance sale that includes Erl clones. One is $10 (I bought two of those last month) and another that has variously colored tanks is $5. They ship from the U.S., so they arrive fast, but shipping is $10 per order. Not a great deal if you're buying just one, but last week I ordered five of the $5 Erl clones (which have already arrived and vape beautifully), so my cost was only $7 each shipped:

The Mini Conversion kits (short chimney and tank) are still available at FastTech for cheap ($2.66 for one, less for 3 or 5). All eight of my various Erl clones are 20.7mm diameter, and the Mini kits fit them all; I don't know for sure if the kit also fits the 20.5mm clones. I've assumed that the difference is only in the thickness of the tank (i.e., its outer diameter), with the bases and chimneys all being identical/interchangeable in terms of size and threading, but I can't attest to that for certain. I ordered three Mini kits last month, and last week I ordered five more, to be used with my angelcigs Erl clones. Basically, I got five more Erl Nano/Minis for $9.32 each.

I guess it's obvious how much I like my Erl tanks. I prefer them to my Kayfuns. They're not for cloud-chasing RDA folks (the draw is only slightly airier than a Kayfun), but they give great flavor, don't leak, and are so much easier to fill than a Kayfun. I use them on my 30 watt-and-higher mods. Right now, I'm vaping a full-size Erl clone on an iPV Mini 2 70W running at 22 watts, and it's wonderful! I also have an Erl Mini on a Cloupor Mini running at a mere 9 watts, but it's delicious, too, just not as warm and a little less vapor.

Yup, I've been using the silver Cloupor Mini I pre-ordered from GearWorst ($29.99) for about three weeks now. After the first week, I ordered a black one from GearWorst for the same cost (before they dropped the price another dollar). That one hasn't arrived yet.

My silver Mini passed the 15-second 30-watt test with flying colors. It's performed flawlessly, and I'm not worried about a meltdown. I love the quick and easy battery swap. I prefer the Mini to my two 30-watt iSticks. They're fine, but the Mini is heavier and feels more solid in my hand. More like a tool than a toy.

Give it a few days. I thought the same. My battery door started loosening after a day or so. It got better after I took the plastic cover that goes over the electronics bay off and back on. It doesn't sit flush anymore but the door is more solid now. I think you can fix the sloppy door by adding a couple of strips over the battery cover to the outside edge of the plastic but not covering the metal part of the case. It makes a channel for the door's alignment edge to sit in and not move side to side.

Well, it's been a few more days, cover still tight and flush. Guess I got a good one?

Although the above are very fine firearms, nothing is quite like a bespoke english shotgun. (Holland, westly richards, etc).

Very happy with my CM. Its becoming the first one and most often reached for every day. Its even the only mod I took to work with me today.

I do have to try to remember to take it out of my pocket when the work day begins. I think I've been vaping quite a bit during check ins in the morning. Still haven't had anyone say anything to me, but the doctor laughs at me a bit when I come around the corner and I've still got clouds coming out of my nostrils.

I'm not partial to side-by-side shotguns but I concur that the English make fine shotguns, especially for field use. For competition clays (Trap in particular) I very much would rather have a Perazzi MX series, Krieghoff K-80, or Beretta DT10 or DT11.

Thanks. I had seen the full size and the drop kits. I was hoping for just the mini, since I doubt I will ever run them with the larger tanks. Don't need the extra clutter in my already cluttered dead parts vaping drawer.

Hey, lookie what my cat brought in this fine morning! :)

CPM_STM2.jpg

I've checked it with the 15 s @ 30W gimmick - passed three times.
Everything smooth and flush, no rattles or imperfections.
No visible gap between the unit and the atty (but it is there - about .3 mm).

Not much to add to what others have said, really. I'm extremely pleased with it.
Oh, regarding the ”fingerprint problem” - the silver one is covered with a very, very thin layer of machine oil that has to be removed with detergent. No more annoying fingerprint marks after that on my end.
