I got my Cloupor mini yesterday and I really like it. I kinda wish the sleep delay wasn't 2 mins long, it seems like a waste of battery just having the screen constantly on. The one second delay from sleep really does not bother me. I just double tap the fire button from sleep or take a primer puff during that one second delay.

This is my first dna type device so I am not sure if this is general knowledge or something new, but it will only fire 30watts at certain ohms. The mini has a 7 volt limit. So even though it says its firing 30watts, its really only firing up to 7 volts. Meaning, a 1.9Ω coil set to 30 watts reads 6.9 volts on my inline volt meter, which works out to 25.5 watts. If it was really firing at 30 watts it should read 7.5volts on the volt meter.

So the only way to get the full 30 watts is to use a 1.6Ω coil and under. The istick has this same problem, its only reaches 20watts at certain ohms.

Other than it not reaching 30 watts with a 1.9Ω coil, the voltage output on the mini seems accurate to the screen. It was even able to go down to 3.6 volts on a freshly charged battery.

Output Power: 5W-30W

Output Voltage: 3V-8V

Input Voltage: 3.2V-4.5V

Output Current: 13A Maximum

Input Current: 1.3A-13A

Resistance: 0.5 ohm- 3.0 ohm

Says 8v not 7v
Not sure why anyone would build for a 30w setup at, above or near 1.9ohms anyway. Seems like a waste. That power range is normally for the 7-15 watt setups. just saying

I got my Cloupor mini yesterday and I really like it. I kinda wish the sleep delay wasn't 2 mins long, it seems like a waste of battery just having the screen constantly on. .

That OLED display is using very little power, OLED displays are super efficient compared to LCD or even regular LED. A week (or more) with the display on constantly would probably use less power than a single 3 second hit of the topper at higher wattage. Seriously.

When it goes in sleep mode, that's basically to stop scanning for button presses at a high rate, which does have a moderate impact on battery life over the long term. It doesn't really take a full second to "wake up", it's just that it checks for presses a lot less often, so you're waiting around for that next scan cycle after it sleeps.

Then there's a wee bit of delay stacked on top of that as the chip logic does its magic, measuring the resistance again and looking up the table for the set wattage before it fires, but you get that delay on every puff in wattage mode.

It's probably something like 100 milliseconds (1/10th of a second) normal scan frequency, and goes up to 800-1000 milliseconds when it's in sleep mode.

Just guestimating here, but you get the gist.

I never come close to using the full 30 watts, I only set it to 30 watts to test it. I normally use it at about 12 watts with my nautilus mini.

Mine only goes to 7 volts. I just checked Cloupor's site and they have it listed as 3-7 volts too.

Good to know that screen isn't killing my battery. Thanks!

I got my mini a couple of hours ago. My quite impressed. This thing is tiny. The ohm reader is quite accurate on mine, as long as the connection to the atty is solid. The volts displayed are accurate with the watts, though I haven't tested with an inline volt meter yet. The one second delay when firing from sleep is a bit annoying but I can live with it. The overhang on the side with 22 mm attys doesn't bother me much, and there's really no way to fit the 510 connector further in due to the minimal size of the device. The sticker on the back is a bit annoying as it left a bit of glue when removed. Overall I'm very happy with the mini.

Yes, it seems They took a step back as the unit went live. Several pre-order sites had 8v. max listing and now they have it listed as 7v. Just one more Cloupor move.

I don't think pushing a Nauti to 30w would be a good idea either.

Still have no Clue where mine is(China Post), but by the time it gets here, I'm not sure I will even want to unpackage.:glare:

Great, just great. I waited a month for this thing. It worked for about 50 draws. Now, the screen has gone dark and I can't figure out how to make it come back.

-Tried turning it off, then on
-Tried changing the battery
-Tried every button combination included in the user manual

NOTHING, dark screen

Any suggestions?

Yep, contact Vendor for replacement. Not sure if the Mini has a reset, but if it does it once it will likely keep failing.

Question to those who ordered from elev8vape... I ordered mine last Thursday, 8. Up til now, it says "awaiting fulfillment." I emailed them several times. I tried to cancel my order... nothing. Tried emailing to cancel... nothing again. I emailed again to say that if they have stock, just send it, if not, cancel it... nothing. I emailed again just now to just say they're not replying.

I really need to know whether they'll be sending it, or not. I don't earn much, and the money I spent to pay elev8 is all the money I can spare for vape stuff. If they cancelled, at least refund me the money right away so I can buy from a different vendor. And if they have had it in stock, how come they aren't sending it?

BTW, I called my card's bank and they said the payment went through. So it's not like they're holding the order awaiting payment. They're a legit company right? So why all this silence??? Sucks.

Well I'm going to say it. $^*K Elev8vape. I've had products ship faster and reach me faster from fasttech. 3 days to just generate a shipping label? 0 response from email, phone.. 8 days total. I guess that's the cost of a happy meal in their minds eye. (difference from ebay prices to their special jan15 15 % promo code) and this is how all of us should pay for it. I just have to pray nothing is wrong with mine, or it doesn't get lost in mail, because there is no way to reach them for support. I will be writing them up here soon.

Likely it went this way.
Everyone Loved the price and Ordered
They got inundated with orders and exceeded stocking levels
They placed another rush order - Most use DHL - But it still takes time in the Quiche(waiting their turn)
They received replacement stock and immediately started shipping out to customers (Hopefully by order date - FIFO)

In the mean time they have several other NEW RELEASE product they are dealing with and Buyers in every category hounding them and emailing repeatedly.

Yes their communication SUX
I can name a Dozen other Vendors in the Same boat this time of year. (SMALL BUSINESS OVERWHELMED)
From what I have seen so far, along with other product Panic - They WILL get to you.

Rather than Posting in panic and constantly emailing someone that seems to not have time to spare answering...........
Read Back to the post others have Made - Confirming they have RECEIVED SHIPPING NOTICES

Hell, Mine is coming from China - Shipped on the 8th and there is no follow up. I am in no panic. I know eventually it will arrive.
______________________________________________________________________________

The one thing I keep reading and cannot stand is:
This is all I could afford to spend and now................Bla bla bla.......................

If you cannot afford it and cannot handle the pressure of waiting...........PLEASE THINK........and maybe don't spend to start with.

Toronto, Canada,
Yeah.. Ive had no problems with Elev8 in the past with the first Hana Clone (Cloupor), ordered a Mini 0n the 8th, they were in stock then and it's on it's way.
Good luck with yours frazam hope it shows up soon.

Ordered one from VapotTekUSA (preorder) long before that, didn't show as expected but they got them in and shipped right away.

Don't ask me about Illvapes though that was a joke, not the funny kind.

Are you sure the battery is not upside down ? I know it's a dumb idea ? When you put in battery do you see the word cloupor? Hey maybe the battery you use is marked wrong ?
