Still waiting for correct HS codes from my contact....as the last one I received was NOT for the LT body itself.
Now, for those of you that are wondering "WTH is he doing all that for when other kit coops are sailing
through customs without any duty charges?"
There's a cut-off area for large shipments when clearing customs, which I have to verify before I proceed.
Small parcels generally sail through because they're generally viewed as "personal use", while large shipments are heavily scrutinized as being "commercial use"....which will be taxed.
This is why so many individual users order directly from e-cig manufacturers for their personal stuff and never pay retail for anything....Cuz they know it won't be taxed/seized and they'll spend a small fraction to that of a reseller.
But in our case, I have to be SURE before I begin the coop just where that cut-off point is in dollars.
Because in the event of a seizure and taxation, if I didn't collect those funds from everyone...I don't have it out of pocket to cover, which I'd then have to wait for everyone to remit "said amount" to cover the taxes. But the longer that customs holds the parcel, the more expensive the cost becomes before it's release.
It would take ONLY 1 person to cause a disaster in this very scenario, by waiting too long to remit payment.
And trust me, I've worked my green shag-carpet behind off to allow such an occurrence to happen.....so I HAVE TO BE SURE!!
