I learned this from a friend: Fill 1/2 of a 30 ml bottle of ground coffee. I used Cuban coffee because it's really strong.. Then top it off with PG and microwave for 10 seconds. (no longer). The Pg will absorb the coffee. Then top off again with pg, then place bottle in a hot water bath for 20 minutes. Strain mixture with a coffee filter. I used a funnel, and cut the filter to fit.

I used 3% coffee, 1% Bavarian Cream and 1% Caramel and It was the best Coffee liquid I ever had.

Hi Jimi D.

You think instead of Bavarian cream I could use real honey?
How much PG and VG do you use when making this e-liquid?
Do you know if I can also use real chocolate melted to make an extract?

Just to clarify I use no nicotine at all.

If anybody else has any suggestions or makes no nicotine e-liquids I could use some good recipes.

Thanks so much:2cool:

Real honey is a big no-no. The sugar would carmelize on your atty in no time. You can get honey flavored e juice or honey flavoring, I'm pretty sure, if that's what you really want.

If I were you, I'd try it without the BV if you don't have any. I like my coffee e juice(made from extraction) with just some sweetner(ethyl maltol). I really like vaping it, but I'd never dream of drinking coffee without cream or milk.

Hi My4jewels,

Thanks for the response. It makes sense what you said about the honey I wasn't thinking. There's so many things going through my head with respect to making e-liquids.
I am now making an extraction of Hazelnut cream coffee. Hope this works out well.
I imagine you vape with nicotine?
I do have to get some ethyl maltol

Is there any other sweeteners?

You can use EZSweetz or Splendex, which are both liquid sucralose. Some like to use marshmallow flavoring for sweetness.

I vape very low nic, sometimes 0. I am finding that it was more about the hand to mouth thing for me than the nicotine. I have always looked for good flavor over good th as well.

No problem. I use 50%pg/50%vg. I usually flavor at or close to 20%. So, it comes out leaning to more pg because my flavors are all in pg. I mostly vape fruits and dessert flavors. I experiment a lot, and have tone of flavors that I use to switch around. Right now, my fave is TPA mtn dew @ 20% with a bit of ethyl maltol.

Like I said, I'm not looking for th. If I am really in the mood for a kick, I'll add a little menthol or cinnamon to my fruits. Menthol seems to go with any of my fruits. I usually use cinnamon with pear, apple, or orange.

Sounds good. I might try some of your mixtures too. Do you use water/alcohol?
How much of the 2 flavour mixtures do you put in? Like with the cinnamon/pear. What is the percentage or drops in 50/50 PG/VG?

I just have dug old mix I have made back in June 2011. my memo says coffee extract was used in that mix. it was really really good. I have used up all mix now so I made new coffee extract. I have made other mix following my memo. but... it taste like pencil shavings!
recipe on the memo was very simple, 10% coffee extract, 6% LorAnn's Keoke Coffee. I don't know what went wrong.

here is my question, do you age (steep?) your mix with coffee extract or extract itself? if so how long?
Thank you

I don't steep the extract but I do steep the final mix and I find it gets pretty neat after about 10 days.

I rotate two 50ml bottles - I vape out of one while the other one is steeping then when one bottle gets empty I open the one that's been steeping and make another one. Works pretty well.

This process sounds awesome! I sifted through all of the pages of this thread but couldn't find the final results on using 100% cocoa beans. Did this work out?

If you mean actual cocoa (not a chocolate flavoured coffee), someone posted the link to that thread in your chocolate-thread. It's called something like "Cinnamon and cocoa".

I did an extraction of cocoa powder in Aquaeous Glycerine (I was out of pure glycerine). It was a pest to strain - I really don't recommend working with Aq. Glyr. if you can avoid it (someone in this thread reported epic fail when trying to do coffee in Aq. Glyr.).

Anyway, I got a few precious drops. I can't really say if it is good or not - I'm pretty new and I don't really vape sweet stuff. More in the Cocoa-thread, as soon as I find it.

Ok...I've done this (cocoa extraction) with pg and it's great
http://vapemeup.blogspot.com/

If you're using vg I would thin it first with distilled water or pga to the consistency of pg.
Use glass bowls or measuring cups throughout until you're ready to store, then go to bottles.

I let it strain overnight (covered with plastic wrap), used a couple of layers of paper towel inside a gold cone coffee filter (to hold shape), but rubber bands around the container to hold would work just as well.

It was easy, came out clear (dark but clear) and is tasty. I did not measure but simply used enough pg that the cocoa was free flowing after soaking up the initial amount. Too many have imo been hung up on measuring amounts to amounts, when all you need is enough cocoa to flavor the pg...period.

The site I linked to suggests not steeping the cocoa or it gets bitter. I let my cocoa sit in the pg for a couple of hours and to me it's fine.

I'd absolutely recommend against this. It was very very difficult. Doing it with pure VG and using gentle heat to get it to flow better can't be harder than using Aq. Glyr. As soon as I get a good stash of pure VG (ridiculously hard to find locally) I will try that instead.
Getting pure VG to filter isn't that hard, I just recently did an experiment with tobacco where I used pure VG for one of the extractions, and absolutely too little of it for the amount of tobacco I had. It took a little work to filter (nothing like the Aq. Glyr. cocoa nightmare, though), but out of 14ml I got 4ml, and this was with filtering it twice (once coffe filterpaper, once cotton wool in syringe).

Just step away from that water!

That's funny! When I made my coffee extract I used 80/20 vg/distilled water and it worked like a dream, gave back about 20 ml of extract. When I did the cinammon extract using pure pg, I got back less than 1 ml of extract. I blamed it on the cinammon being too finely ground. . .

Thank you Semiretired, Wizard10000!
I have not given up yet. I can wait 10 days for that great taste!
That is amazing though. that pencil shaving taste can turn that good in 10 days...
by the way I have not eaten pencil shaving or pencil before but somehow that smell is just like it. and the smell makes all what I taste on this.

and Thank you for the good idea Wizard10000!
