You can use either PG or VG to cut your flavor, but remember you'll be cutting your nic level as well. I use mostly VG, and you can buy it at Walmart locally. It's called Glycerin and it is in the pharmacy section....usually by the alcohol.

For the coil question...I don't really know the answer. I think the flavor will be affected by the ohms you end up with much more than the way you get there. I do know that the thicker the wire gauge, the longer the coil will last. I sorta shoot for middle ground. I usually use either 28 AWG or 29 AWG. They hold their shape better while I'm re-wicking, also.

I personally default to 28ga wire with initial builds on all atties as I think it lends the most flexibility and is middle of the road resistance wise. Another big factor is how much room there is for the build.

As an example 6/7 wraps with 28ga on a lure lock needle will give me right at about 1.0ohm while the same 6/7 wrap with say 24ga will give me right around .45ohm. All depends on how you like to build and how you like your vape. My suggestion would be start with 28ga and then try other wires with different set ups.

I don't think you can say flavor is better with bigger or smaller kanthal due to all juices have a sweet spot. U can though equate increased vapor production to larger diameter kanthal due to more surface area in relation to resistance. but like everything the tradeoff to larger kanthal is increased heat up times and cool down times.

Dang, exactly what I was gonna say before I got this far. I'll add that after trying nearly everything between 32 and 24, I personally prefer 28 for higher ohm builds (1 and up) or 26 for .7 to .9, in my experience those work best for flavor and good vapor, without crazy huge clouds or massive TH. (I vape 12MG everything) Your results may vary, but my 2 cents.

i personally like .7-.8ohm microcoil in a RM2. For that I use 28 gauge (6 wraps on a 1/16" mandrel) as I find it's a good balance of wrap ease (I don't like thinner wire to work with so much) and enough material to get good juice contact. If I used, say, 30 gauge, I think it would suffer from too little contact with the wick/juice.

I try to target a number of wraps and then will picks gauge to get me close to that for a given ohm I've picked. I like to be between 6 and 8 wraps.

IF you diluting and you do not want to drop nic strength, then used unflavored nicotine to dilute. I actually go at the other way where most of my mix unflavored nic and I add a bit of the falvored to it. .

this is exactly what works for me also on both accounts

I've cancelled more posts than i have posted here, but this is a reasonable summation:

There are a couple of ways to achieve exactly the same result - SXD and FB will wrap 8 wraps always.
Around the same sized mandrel. And vary the gauge of wire.

I measure a length of wire and make a coil from it - most of mine are spaced, 'ugly' coils wrapped on big mandrels, so i can fit the wick of my choice thru them.
They are typically 4 or 5 wraps - and be alert to the possibilities of using higher gauge wire and twisting it to halve your resistance.

The main difference between these 2 approaches is how much power you have to throw at them to make them work. Single coils from 26g always worked just fine for me in a RM2, but if i went any lower in gauge than that - the heat-up time (and cool-down) is irritating.

All coil building is a balance of 3 things: liquid and airflow cools your coils and a battery heats them.
