I did a twisted ribbon build on the coil master jig, worked slick! Still wanting to do an alien Clapton sometime, but having a hard time getting everything to cooperate. But I've no doubt the jigs will work fine when I get there.
I've had issues feeding the tail of the wire on fancier builds into the hole on the jig.

Yeah, I'm no help there, I can measure the holes on my jig if you like? The twisted ribbon was .1x.08mm, for reference, and there was room to spare. But no, you wont get fused Clapton's with 18ga cores and 26ga outer in one.

Also forgot, I'm wanting to do some builds, want to build on the RBA of the TFV4 and the Mutank (need to find the block off for one side, somehow.) BUT I don't want to yet, I should have my 521 tab tomorrow and REALLY want to try it out!
How'd the build go?

No, it's miserable! I felt like I had the worst flu ever, heat stroke, broke my back again, and had a 4" laser shooting through me all at once! Some of the worst pain you can imagine!
I hope your son gets cleared up soon! I guess I was lucky to get mine cleared up as quick as I did.

I'm spartan in my coil winding equipment. I use 28ga Kanthal, Ti, and SS316L wire. I have two mandrels. One is graduated in whole millimeters and the other is half mm steps. I used to torch wire, but now I install a coil and heat it to a dull red glow and squeeze it with SS tweezers after releasing the fire button.

Coil winders are nice. I just never felt the need to buy one. My 10W vaping is under the wattage range that claptons appear to need for a quick glow.

I get that completely! I kinda miss my days of 10 watt vaping... simple...

Yep. In a pinch all it takes is a Phillips screwdriver, a nail, and something to cut the wire to length. If you want spaced coils, then you need a bolt. That, and a pair of scissors to cut wicks to length.

I won some juice and wanted to try it low power so I did a 1.4 build on my KLoud. Even with 26ga Kanthal the winding jigs work like a dream! Wish I'd had them years ago.
The 521 tab made a great build deck, it was easy to build a vertical coil in it. Easiest way I've found to sick the KLoud, and it was easy to burn in the coil then wick it. So far that's a big win!
I still need to check on the leads, but for building and burn in it was a worthwhile purchase.
