Americans don't read. The housing collapse... The itunes user agreement for my itouch was 63 pages! We click I Agree or back out, most of the time it's I Agree. I now look for videos when I want to learn about something.Thats the thing you would think that vendors would want to be well known for giving out the correct information instead of throwing it into little text in a terms portion that barley anyone reads (lets get real we are in america and we are lazy...) instead we just click the little button and go on. Maybe there should be a recording that plays when you get to said section that you HAVE TO listen to before you continue (since we are lazy and dont want to read ). anyhow back to the point, the vendors should want to be know as a "SAFE" vendor. Dont you think that over anything else would generate business? In their minds no. but why not, why would they not want to cover their liability and the chance of getting sued? idk maybe its just greed that has taken over this industry and if it has its a sad sad day.
Exactly, and that's when things are REALLY going to get ugly.Wait until one goes off in a public place. A dark bar, a coffee shop, or maybe Cracker Barrel.
And all it will take is a drunk putting a battery in backwards.Exactly, and that's when things are REALLY going to get ugly.

Greed took over the industry a long time ago. When the market "exploded".
Being considered "SAFE" by these standards seems to mean your face shouldn't get blown off but your hand might get burned and your house may catch fire. Vendors don't even warn to not charge batteries unattended.

Having a forum that they financially support, declare these devices as "safe" is not going to protect them from lawsuits.
ETA: I really don't care about protecting the vendors. I have and will continue to function without them. I have purchased one mod, a VV, and I returned it because the batteries were discharging unevenly. Not worth my house.

You just beat me to the post...Why cant said pamphlet be added to the EMSS? It seems to me if the vendors are afraid of scaring customers away from their site with severe warnings, this is a way that fits into the mold of getting peoples $ b4 giving away all the gruesome details. They get their liability covered, and people get a fighting chance of avoiding catastrophe.
But why not provide them with that information prior to purchase????o i know what you mean but what i meant by them getting sued is have big visible disclaimers that you can plain as day see and sending instructions with said device. if the user does not read either or then that is their choice but they would know that since it came with said instructions that they can not sue if one blows up in their face due to them using different batteries.
Kwalka the guys behind the buzz pro really are doing a great job in both ways putting a really safe device in the market without sacrify performance.

So put a safety notice in your signature and help spread the word. At least it's a heads up for newbies that come here for information that is apparently not going to be available officially from the ECF for another month. The volume of misinformation here buries the safety information.FTR, I was ready to get one of those long b4 this thread.
four2109, I dont care about protecting the vendors either, if they dont care about us. However, I do care a lot about all the potential smokers who need the chance to get in on this "miracle", if you will. This product/industry is too effective to get shut down because those that have been around since day 1, and are experts in their field, cant get it right on a grand scale.
Good job on the graphic!Or even if they just include a graphic like this one I came up with, will get everyone's attention I think, stick it inside the mod, has to be removed before use. bnrk View attachment 94541

I agree w the point MR 09 makes....We are witnessing the transfer of our biggest problem, from being mistaken as smoking in public to "get away from me w that bomb".
Once you put it in your signature it is in every post you have ever made on this forum. You can't get more widespread than that!We all should consider adding something like that to our sigs, and there needs to be a sticky in the newbies section w the same info.
This one is a Sticky in the newbie forum. It's closed. No mention of battery risk or safety.
