I smoked a cig about once per hour. When I switched and I switched to quit smoking, not to play and make clouds, I vaped when my body told me to.
I switched over night, because the first order of business for me was to determine that ecigs could replace smoking. I started at 24mg which had me "urging" about once per hour with 1-2 draws. Now, if I was vaping 6mg, I probably would have stressed, taped the mod to my mouth, or gone back to smoking. When I did switch to 18mg, I vaped about 2-3 draws every hour.
I got the confidence that vaping could replace smoking and so I I just kept doing it. I did some chain vaping, watching TV, and got a bit over-nic'd. I laid down and took it as a learning experience. No chain-vaping unless I am using a lower nic. Anyway, I got back to just urges. At the time, my taste buds were really damaged by smoking so I wasn't tasting much anyway.
Next week is two years and I am at 3mg. If I want to sit in front of the TV and chain-vape, I take a draw or two of 3mg and then I switch to 0mg. I have a lot of tanks and it makes things easier.
For me, it is about reducing my smoking and, then, reducing my nicotine. I really don't chain-vape much and I rarely play with clouds. It is just my nature. This is my health and being a Civil War Vet, it is time for me to pay attention to my health. My doctor has seen positive change and so has my dentist. I feel it and I experience it. It was a dream for me to quit smoking and vaping got me to where I am.
I am very grateful. Good luck to all and if I can help, I will.
