oh definitely, and like I said, vaping is my main thing, but when I need something I can easily hide, I use snus. and like I said before, I'm sure my dentist would notice if I used snus all the time. I remember one video we watched when I was in like 4th grade there was a guy that said he got mouth cancer within a few years of starting to chew tobacco, and my senior year when I took health class because I had to have the credit (I was the only senior in the whole class! it was all freshman and a few sophomores lol) they said in my book chewing tobacco was WORSE than smoking. also in my area, ALL tobacco use is banned, smokeless and all, and at my work if you get caught stepping out of your car with a lit cigarette you get one warning and after that you're fired, and the same policy goes with vaping and smokeless tobacco. in other words, st. louis county is $%&#ing insane.

You must have had the same health classes as I and I was sucked into the same eugenic nonsense. They also said if you keep doing that you'll go blind but decades later my prescription glasses are about the same as they were in fourth grade, before I tried any of that other stuff. LOL

Actually, switching from smoking to smokeless cuts your risk of death from oral cancer in half.

Point | Counterpoint: Would a Switch from Cigarettes to Smokeless Tobacco Benefit Public Health? > Health Issues > ACSH

Deaths from oral cancer cases attributable to smoking total 11,500 per year. If all smokers switched, oral cancer deaths attributable to using smokeless tobacco would be reduced to 6,000 per year. All other tobacco-related deaths would be reduced to zero.

Average years of life lost would go from 7.8 years to about 14 days.

More recent epidemiology studies, and more recent meta analysis of published epi studies, have found that daily users of chewing tobacco and moist snuff have a relative risk (RR) of oral cancer mortality of about 1.1 compared to never tobacco users (or about a 10% greater risk compared to never tobacco users).

In sum, smokeless tobacco use is attributable for fewer than 100 deaths in the US annually, while cigarette smoking is attributable for 450,000-500,000 deaths.

Also, smokeless tobacco products marketed during the past two decades (and especially now) contain far fewer nitrosamines than smokeless tobacco products marketed and consumed four, five, six and more decades ago.

here's the main problem: as far as they're concerned, getting people (especially kids) not to start smoking/using tobacco in the first place is 1000X more important than getting people who already use to quit. if something (like E-cigs) could help people quit but is remotely appealing to nonsmokers or teenagers, the anti-smoking people see it as a bigger threat. in their ideal little warped world nobody will use any nicotine of any kind, period, and E-cigs are just a block in their ultimate 2 part goal:

1. kill off all smokers while making as much money off of them as possible

2. prevent anybody else from starting in the first place so that tobacco is no more.

The problem is, "they" don't want to actually DO that because that would kill the cash cow...they just want people to THINK that way.

The horrifying part of this is that "they" know full well that Tobacco use is not going away--only the extremely naive still believe that their actual goal is to eliminate all recreational tobacco use. National Socialists aren't trying to exterminate other races--they only need to to engender enough hatred to fuel the war so they can profit from the casualties and expand their power and control.

"Saving the children from Evil Tobacco" is a red herring. If the people in Tobacco Control were honestly interested in reducing child initiation of tobacco use, they wouldn't make cigarettes more appealing to rebellious teenagers by putting big graphic warning labels on the front but would focus on enforcing the law that ALREADY forbids the sale of tobacco products to children under 18. If they were truly worried about tobacco poisonings, they would require childproof packaging for the products that are the cause of the overwhelming majority of nicotine poisonings: FDA approved pharmaceuticals, and FDA approved tobacco cigarettes.
