Hi there,

I was always using the metal CE2 XL carto but recently my vendor changed to a new version(?). It has a "smoky tube" and it was stated that it gaves more vape, nice TH and the tube is kinda unbreakable.

What should I know about this new CE2?
Is this the carto that is named like Ultimate CE2 / Clearomizer?
How to clean this type of CE2? /I would really appreciate a tut vid about this one/

Thank you in advance!

There's a good vid on YouTube and here on ECF somewhere on how to clean them.

Basically I .......

Remove the tip and the small rubbery washer as if your going to refil the clearo.
Attach the empty clearo to a battery (use a syringe to empty it if needed).
Carefully wiggle the tube off the battery connection end by a few millimeters.
Insert a pencil or something similar into the top of the tube to hold the contents of the tube in place and slide the tube up and onto the pencil.
Remove the rubbery cap from around the coil with the filling holes in.
Rinse the contents of the tube under running warm water, being careful to keep the battery dry (you might want to unscrew it from the battery for this)
Pinch the wicks with paper towels to dry.
Dry burn the coil a few times (I find it helps to burn off any clinker on the coil if you blow on it while dry burning)
Allow to cool for a few mins.
Rince, dry and dry burn again.
Place the rubbery filling cap back around the coil, making sure the notches are lined up with the wicks.
Slide the tube back on, fill the clearo, insert the rubbery washer and tip.
vape!

There a few threads on tips n tricks for clearos. For better performance i either lift the rubbery filling cap a couple of mm or cut larger notches in them to allow more room for the wick.

It's the newest revision of the CE2. They are just hitting vendors here in the states.

They did name it the Ultimate for some reason, I hope the name holds true.

Ones of the colors is the dark smokey tube, there are others as well, clear, blue and green that I know of. The tube has been changed to the same tube on the CE3, supposedly much better quality and won't crack, well find out but they do look like a definite improvement. The base has also been changed where it connects to the tube, no more grooves. It's supposed to have a little more area around the cup for better wicking.

Yes, that's it thank you!
I would have one ore question regarding the dry burn. Everytime I try it the wick burn to black until the "heating wire" (sorry do not know the promp name) glows! What am I doing wrong? How long should I press my ego's button? Should I blow the wire?
It was told that the CE2 can be cleaned several times and the "wire" / wick goes totally white...but instead of that it always go black and taste becomes burnt.

YOu may not ever get the wick and coil wire back to white, but you can burn off the crusted and burned juice that accumulates on the coil. Cleaning the wick first using hot water or alcohol is necessary to remove juice, otherwise you may just burn and cake juice on the wick and make things worse. You can also lightly scrape the coil wire with the end of a toothpick between burns to loosen the crud. Lightly means hold the toothpick between two fingers ... don't gouge! Hold the button and pulse it for a few seconds to keep the coil a dull red.
