Confused about wire.

Basically, I'm wondering if there is a guide out there, which talks about the different kinds of wire.

Up until now, I've been using all kanthal, even for my fused/regular clapton coils.

So basically, if I wanted to switch over to using Nichrome in my claptons, what do I need to know about it? Should I use kanthal as the core wire, or something else? Would there be any advantages for using Nichrome on the outside of my claptons? Any drawbacks?

Start by using a calculator like this. Steam-engine.org You can model builds using different wire and combinations. Using different wire is about tuning your vape to you and you equipment. You can use Nich by itself or in combination with kanthal or even stainless wire and others. Some types of wire can not be used with all devices or modes. Some can but perform better in specific types of devices and modes.
