One more... What if it's twisted (2 wire)?
Twisted wire will slow ramp time a little but not really noticeable. Just remember that twisted wire cuts the resistance in half. If you use 12 wraps instead of 6 wraps to get the same resistance then it will obviously slow the ramp time. Twisted 24g ss 316l has very low resistance.

Neither AVS or Kbee offer twisted spools, but AVS has prebuilt.24g has preferred Ω but would rather have faster ramp. Single coil rta.
How are you going to keep rectangular shape of wire intact when working with it?

I imagine it will be like working with fused claptons or parallel wires. You just go a little slower and hold it flat. I'm use to it. Most of the coils I make are fused claptons.

I made some dual coils. 3mm id 7 wraps wicked with rayon on a Dead Rabbit RDA. Came out to .19 ohms and I'm using them at 70 watts. It was as easy to work with as regular round wire. My initial thought on this wire is WOW! These coil fire like a round wire build but perform like an alien wire. They fire instantly with great flavor and vapor production. I must say the Dead Rabbit is not one of my favorite RDAs. I'll be really intrested how this works in my Apocalypse. This could end up being my new favorite wire. Only time will tell but first impression is really good.

If I get 24g instead of 26g I sacrifice ramp time don't I?
I know you got a response from this already, stating 24g is lower resistance then 26g and this is true. Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but are you asking if 24g will be slower to ramp compared to 26g? If so, you are correct....24g is thicker and if you use the same power you would with the 26g, the 24g will be slower to ramp

I haven't ordered wire yet. Maybe I'll give this a shot. I did put the pliers you recommended in my Amazon cart today Don. Watched a vid on them, they'll be perfect. Big thank you.
You'll have to play The Twist on the stereo when you make wire. If you're not a Chubby Checker fan then how about Twist and Shout by the Beatles.

Not too sure about that. My feet have to move when I hear either of those. My dad taught me how to do the twist on the kitchen floor when I was a kid. Loved their music as much as mine. Still do.
