Thanks everyone! I have like 10 tabs open lol. If I decide to go with the ego or evod, what are the parts that need to be replaced as needed? Or if someone is extremely bored could you go to the fastech site and choose a starter kit for me? LOL I know I'm asking a lot, but I don't know what all these words mean, sorry I'm such a dunce. I don't mind waiting on shipping from china since I have a bunch of cartos for the premium, and just to be sure, did I see a USA charger in the fasttech kits? What parts neet to be replaced periodically? Thanks so much guys!

$23.25 EGO-EVOD 6-in-1 Rechargeable 1100mAh E-Cigarette Starter Kit - double e-cigarettes / purple / 2.4

If you got that, you would need to replace the coils every so often. I got my EVOD kit about 3 weeks ago and haven't had to throw out a coil yet, but I rotate between 2 washing one every night.

Krint, how can i find out out what I have now to make sure they are 510? The premiums have the treading on the battery, and the blu's have the threading on the carto's. I'm assuming the carto would work with the blu?
The blu is the only one I am sure of being 510 threaded as I have own them. the carto will screw into the blue battery just like the ones you have now. I believe the cartos will be a bit bigger so if you have the case they may not fit in there.

I will let someone else pick out the starter kit because some of fast tech's stuff in fake and I don't know which ones are the real thing. The part you will need to replace is the head in the evod. I am gonna once again recommend spending a bit more on the vision spinner or ego twist batteries. I would also order at least the batteries from a US supplier. EDIT: I just checked fast tech and they do have the ego twits batteries. The problem with buying batteries from Fast Tech is that they may not make it to you because of them being batteries. Wherever you order them from you will have to choose a Mah rating. mah stands for milliamp hour. 100 mah is supposed to equal 1 hour of vape time. So 650 mah will last aprox six hours and 1100 mah will last aprox 11 hours. The higher the mah rating the larger the battery will be. If you don't mind a larger battery then go with the higher mah rating. If you want to keep it smaller go with the lower one. All of these e cig batteries are supposed to recharge 250 to 300 times so less charging from higher mah batteries means over all they will last longer.

I don't need it from fasttech.

Welcome to ECF! You can absolutely vape for less money then smoking, but the initial investment can be a bit much, I know. You may want to check ivape.net. They used to have express starter kits there for $15 that included an ego type, 650 mAh, variable volt (5 clicks to get to next volt setting), battery and a bottom coil clearo that takes Evod coils. Evod coils are some of the cheapest, and common coils you can get, and are affordable to replace. You can even rebuild them for less. Last I checked, ivape was sold out on those kits, but maybe they'll restock. It isn't the best set up, but it did the trick for me and for me off cigarettes. I upped the volts and vaped through cravings, plus the passthrough feature allowed me to use it as my only device until I got another set up in.

For eliquid, check out mtbakervapor.com. They have some of the cheapest liquid around, and last time I ordered they gave me a free 15 ml sample. Sometimes, their liquid does need to steep a bit to get the best flavor though.

I don't use clearomizers because I use rebuildables but I see a lot of people like the kanger protanks. From everything I read around here I would try the kanger protank mini to go with your twists. They have them at the same place. Here is a link to it. Mini Kanger Protank 2 Mini Pro Tank Glassomizer And here is a link to the replacement heads for it http://www.myvaporstore.com/Atomizer_Head_for_Kanger_Protank_EVOD_Unitank_p/krpt-ah.htm I would get the 2.4 ohm refill heads. This will give you the most range up or down in voltage with the ego twist. Other then the 2 twist batteries and the protank and say 5 or 6 extra heads you will just need e liquid. Someone above recommended Mountain baker vaper. A lot of people seem to like their liquids and they are cheap. So the check list is below

2 Ego twist batteries
2 Ego chargers
1 Kanger protank mini
5 or 6 extra protank heads
E liquid.

Try and get as many different flavors as you can in the smallest bottles they sell. This will prevent you from getting stuck with a huge expensive bottle of liquid that you don't like. Once you know what you like you can reorder larger bottles.

Ok since thats just the battery, what else would I need? 2 chargers, and...?

That would be my choice, For both the the vendor and the battery. I would also get an Evod tank and some 2.4 ohm heads for it.
The heads hold the coils and may last anywhere from a week to a month. They can also be burned to considerably extend their life. Evod coils can also be rebuilt if you want go that way. I would get Kanger Evods they aren't all the same.

If you do decide to go with fastech go to the fastech forum and ask some questions about delivery and genuine products and clones. They are cheap and have a large following. You do have know what you are buying with fastech. I have only used them once.

The evod is much loved as well and takes the same replacement heads as the protank. The protank has glass for the tank and I think the evod has plastic. Some liquids can degrade the plastic tanks slowly or outright crack them in half as soon as you fill the tank so that's why I recommended the Protank mini. If you like the look of the evod you can go with that. I have never used either one but am going on what others around the forums seem to like. Also the evod seems to have a perminant mouth piece. The mouth piece is called a drip tip. You can use any 510 drip tip on the protank or use the one that comes with it. Here are some on the same site as the other stuff. Scroll down the page in the link to see them. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Drip_Tips_E_Cigarette_s/68.htm

Somewhere out there
I would skip blu too and grab a evod starter kit.

ElectronicStix.Com · Kanger EVOD 650mAh Starter Kit

I agree with the above. The Kanger kit is an excellent budget starter kit. It even includes some spare coils.

As much as I like Fasttech, I think it's better to order a starter kit from the US and get it in a few days, instead of having to wait 2 to 4 weeks to get one from Fasttech. Use FT for backup supplies when you can afford to wait a while.

A few years ago my son bought me the "Premium" E cig while I was in the hospital for a month. Hadn't used it since, then when I needed one, I grabbed a couple Blu disposables and loved the flavor so I bought a starter kit without researching any thing. I'm on SS so I can't afford either ( I roll my own and it's about 10.00 a carton) So my questions are:
1. Does anyone know of blanks that will fit either the blu, or the premium? (even though the blu has a short battery life it doesn't matter since I'm basically housebound.)
2. Would it be worth the expense to chuck it all and start over with a set up that uses blanks. I am trying to quit regular cigarettes this time, and I have seen that you can do it somewhat cheaper with e-juice than the prefilled. But the more things I read the more confused I get :/ . So if anyone can recommend a complete kit (battery, charger, blanks ect. Also if someone can recommend an e-juice that tastes similar to the blu classic tobacco that strong (like 24mg) That would be awesome. Thank in advance!

If it's too hard to explain it, can you direct me to a site that will? Something simple please, I don't want to take a college course :p

I would just get an MVP2 kit. You can get them for around $50. You can message me for the shop link if interested. The egos just aren't enough to quit smoking in my opinion. I started with an ego but quit a 25 year smoking habit just a few days after I bought the MVP. Skip the weak stuff(egos, cigalikes etc etc) and get something decent right from the start. It will be cheaper in the long run! For me though.... I have been buying WAY WAY too much stuff when what i already have is plenty. Most of us fall victim to "the hobby" aspect of it once we start vaping... and more importantly... stop smoking.

I bought the Blu starter kit also, and liked it well enough to decide I could do this instead of smoking! Like you, I am retired and home when I want to be, so charging the batteries wasn't too much of a problem. Although that's mostly what I did the first few days I had the kit...charge up the batteries, use up the batteries, and charge up the batteries some more. In between times, I waited anxiously for signs of a nervous breakdown due to nicotine withdrawal. Ha! It did not happen, and with each hour that passed I became more confident that this will work for me.

Also decided the refill cartridges Blu sells are way too pricey at $14.99 for 5 at Walgreens. Someone on this forum recommended these which fit perfectly on the Blu, and can be refilled. I ordered a package of 5 of them, and they do fit perfectly and are easy to fill. Here is a link:

A package of FIVE (5) black Joye 306 compatible e-Cigarette blank cartomizers

I'm keeping the Blu setup for times when I'm visiting at someone's house. I am a grandmother, age 71, and I know some of my friends would be convinced that I was smoking something "funny" if I showed up with a big rig.:) They have seen the Blu commercials on TV, so they can probably handle that.

However, after 2 days using the Blu, and reading lots of good info on this board, I went to a great local vape shop and got a proper set of 2 ego batteries, and 2 clear tanks, I think they're called. Also some e juice in a couple of tobacco flavors and one called "Fools Gold" that they let me try out. I went in convinced I wanted nothing to do with flavors, but liked that one. I'm trying to keep an open mind, and learn as I go.

I haven't had a cigarette since last Monday night, and I'm very pleased with this whole process so far! Everyone here is very friendly and helpful, and I've learned a lot from reading everyone's posts.

Wanted to add that everyone is different, for sure. I've smoked a pack and a half to 2 packs a day for probably 40 years. I have never even tried to quit before, but the ego batteries and cartridges I got are doing it for me. I have no desire whatsoever for a cigarette.

I doubt it will become a hobby as it is for some, as I have quite a few other hobbies already that take up a good deal of my time, and most of my extra funds. But time will tell.

This is a good battery and tank for juice delivery at a great price. I prefer the 3.7 volt output over the Joy Ego 3.3 volt. i also think Kanger makes a better product. The only problem is that it not a variable volt device.

My question here is how do you know if the OP is going to find that the 5.7 watt output is what he is going to like. He can get lower or higher ohm heads but that isn't nearly as convenient as turning a dial. A vv device has such a big advantage over a fixed volt device that I can't justify recommending a fixed 3.7 volt battery anymore.

I am going to vote for the Kanger starter kit also, EVOD is an awesome clearomizer.

With this kit all you need to add is juice.

The OP stated they loved the flavor they were getting from a Blu, an EVOD setup will produce more vapor/flavor than a Blu therefore I think the kit I linked is a sane choice.

More so I am taking into account the OPs fixed income, if money weren't a factor I would recommend a Spinner ( w/charger), a passthrough battery with 2 Mini ProTanks and two EVOD clearomizers with a ten pack of replacement heads. Or an MVP with a 650mah Spinner backup and the same clearomizers.
