Hello! I've been vaping for about 4 months now... When I started it was great. I was able to stop the analogs completely in about one month, and my cravings were never as bad again.
Then, when I went on vacation last month I didn't have to vape at all (it's SO much easier to just stop vaping than to just stop smoking). But now... I've been kind of craving that nicotine fix and it feels like unless I vape my 36mg juices straight I don't feel anything at all (and when I do most of the time I just start to feel sick). I've been mixing with VG and flavorings to bring the strength down to about 12 mg mixes.

Is it possible that the mixes I've been making have lost their nicotine potency? Maybe they haven't been stored/sealed properly? Or has my tolerance just gone way up the way it did originally with analogs? Could my body be craving all the extra stuff that was in analogs?
Any help is appreciated. And I'm glad to make my first post in this forum finally :p

if your juice is extreemly old then that might be a possibilty but i doubt it, like whisky said you may have to just get used to it again, if the 36mg is making you sick try like 20-24 and work your way down. it is possible that your craving the analog junk but stay clear of those lol, keep at it and im sure youll do just fine!-)

Thank you for the advice. I'm going to definitely try that 24mg idea.
I quit a bunch of my bad habits these past couple of weeks and maybe my brain is just getting used to everything being adjusted.

Having extra money for myself instead of spending it on things that are going to kill me is a great feeling. I'm really glad that I found out about the whole vaping scene. I'm glad for such a great community! :)

Do yourself a favor and try to forget all about your past experience of vaping and then being able to give it up. Pretend you're vaping for the FIRST time and start from there again. Do NOT worry about what level of nic you are vape right now. Remember this is a NEW beginning and you only need to think about what you need NOW to feel ok. You've got plenty of time in the future to get yourself back to o nic again if that's what you wish to do.

Sound as if you need some juice in 24, 18 and maybe even the 12 right now. Mix it up and use the different mg at different times of day and more or less of the higher amounts on different days. It will likely even back out for you over a little bit of time but don't rush it and go with the flow for awhile until you feel like you're on a steady pace again to work on reducing that nic level back to zero.

I think we vapors tend to forget sometimes that when smokers do manage to give up smoking (with its additives and nic) MANY of those same people even if they've stopped smoking for monthS will go back to smoking again. Only stands to reason that those of us that switched to vaping and manage to give up our nic and vaping WILL find that after some time we need to go back to vaping nic again for a while.

You said you made some other changes in your life recently- changes tend to equal stress which for us former smokers equals our bodies telling us it WANTS THAT NIC that it use to use to counteract that stress. Good Luck!!!

Fifth post! Finally.

Yeah, the throat hit is almost nonexistent unless I add some of my menthol in there... I do notice that I feel it a bit more sometimes with that.
I was always under the impression that the need for throat hit to feel satisfied was just a stupid psychosomatic factor and that if I pretended like it didn't matter, it wouldn't... but now I'm starting to realize some correlation even though it doesn't make sense to me.

I will admit that the stress is definitely what brought me back. I've been having urges to change my consciousness but I know that it would be giving up to go back to what I used to do. That's kind of what made me get all crazy this morning. I broke out some 24mg "USA Mix" I got with my order from litecig a couple of months ago and that seems to have been making me less on edge.

This whole quitting thing is very frustrating... I started smoking when I turned thirteen and went through what was basically my life so far with this crutch, and now it's gone... I knew I had to stop when I watched one of my really close relatives get cancer from it (thankfully she's starting to recover). To be quite honest it wasn't something I ever really wanted to give up, but a chemotherapy and hospital bills just don't seem too appealing to me.

Thanks for all the responses, everyone :]
Now it's time to start checking out some of the other forums!
