Craving an Analog

I vape either 12mg or 6mg. I find it's not so much the amount of nicotine that gets me over the hump but rather the flavor and pg/vg ratio. When I'm craving I want more of a throat hit and a strong tobacco flavor.
When I'm content and just sort of chain vaping in front of the computer I tend to go with lower nicotine, less throat hit and some flavor combo like whiskey and coffee. :D

im thinking its time for you to get yourself a stronger hitting device like a ego kit or vamo or something with more kick to knock those craving out. cigalikes are great for people just starting to vape and have to have something that looks like a cig but the vast majority of vapors end up having to move up to stronger equipment to cut down on cravings and be able to keep up with there habit.

Ive been off analogs for almost a month and the cravings still hit occasionally, usually at those times when I most enjoyed a smoke - after a great meal, right before bed, etc. Been fighting them off with the Vamo and they're getting less frequent, but they happen. I'd rather suffer for a few minutes than reset that smoke free timee back to zero :)

It's been almost 6 months since I quit and I still get the occasional craving lol. Even weirder because I dislike the smell and know it's something I would never do again. I chalk it up to habit or mental addiction. The physical addiction goes away pretty quickly. The cravings are nothing compared to how it was when I actually smoked. They're fleeting. It gets easier the longer you keep at it. So keep vaping and up the nic if necessary.

craving smaving. what exactly are we depriving ourselves of? early death, bad breath, body odor, the chance to be treated like second class citizens? this is what we don't get. for some idiotic reason we fool ourselves into thinking that we are being punished for not being able to smoke. as my current plan stands i hope to be nicotine free in 6 weeks. i love that. didn't even say "Analog". the worst of tobacco addiction is over, other than a couple of months of bad dreams, and diet modification to adjust to new lifestyle. in 4 weeks i have cut my dosage in half from 36 MG. in 2 weeks, i cut my dosage from 16 to 6. 2 weeks @2 MG, and start looking for the 0 nic flavor that puts me completely nicotine free. after that start treating the vapor pen like an analog. leave it in my truck, leave it home, deal with my problems without the crutch. and a never ending source of support, that this site gives. shout out to everyone. another awesome day free from tobacco slavery. :toast:

Hi Hunter400,

I started with greensmokes too- I got the red flavor 24 mg cartridges for them and though I liked them I still couldn't give up the analogs. Recently I got a volcano inferno kit (which I think is a 510 ego style battery) and some different juice flavors and strengths (up to 36 mg which I use for bad cravings) and I have been off the analogs for 9 days. I think the suggestion to upgrade to something more powerful than a cigalike is a good one. It has worked so far for me! All the best to you! You can do it!

If you feel like having one, have one.

The farther you get away from "being done" with cigarettes, the easier it gets.

I took a couple of drags off a buddies smoke the other day, so nasty and disgusting.

What on earth were we thinking?

"All the cool kids are doing it." Eff that. I'd rather not be "cool".

Yeah, whenever I smell that distinct smell, I crave for that analog. But then I remember how disgusting they taste compared to vapor then I'm good hahaha

I've run into this as well. And then when I actually bummed a cig from a friend, lit it and smoked, I immediately wonder why in the hell did I do that? The taste of vaping is so much better than the taste of analogs. I think part of the reason why I sometimes still get the craving is because I used to smoke outdoors. With the e-cig, I'm fine with "smoking" in. So if I get a sudden analog craving, I'll head outdoors with my eGo-C and enjoy a couple smokeless drags. That usually takes care of the matter.

So, I guess by now, you've realized everyone has a different answer, lol! Try different things that have been suggested, invent your own fix, put your head down & fight through it, or take a toke from an analog. Whatever works for you. Just don't get discouraged & give up. Some have an easier time than others, but like someone else said, every cigarette you don't smoke is a victory, so just do the best you can.

Im 2 days analog free.. started vaping about a week and a half ago, went down from 2 PAD to about 8 a day. But always had them around. When i finished my last pack a few days ago i decided not to buy another one to see how i do and got a bottle of ry4 24 mg. this evening has been a tad difficult, but im going to grit my teeth and chain vape through it. a good sign is.. i had a nap after work today, and in my dream i took a cig from my friends pack and lit it, then looked at her and said 'oh yeah.. i dont smoke anymore' and put it out :p

I quit a week and two days ago. When I first quit it would bother me in the morning when I first woke up. I keep my e-cig on the night stand
by my bed and the first thing I do is take a big hit off of it. That has helped me so far. Yesterday we cleaned this house and my car out, and
I do mean cleaned. But I am hell bent on leaving those stinking analogs alone. Honestly though, I have never had the kind of help this e-cig
device has given me.

17 days analog free. 17 days vaping. hardest times for me is when i am drinking. i have a few beers most nights, but fridays n saturdays, i will have BEERS. That's when i struggle. When i feel i need an analog, i vape American Tobacco spiked with Java the Hut (coffee flavor) at 24mgs. Really helps me. I took a hit off my daughter's Marlboro around day 3 (really nasty when I'd been smoking American Spirits anyway!!) and was thoroughly disgusted!! I haven't even had a drag since.
