Does anyone know what's in the cloud that we exhale? Does it contain nicotine? Safe for young kids to be around?
It has the same stuff that is in juice. It is rather safe, nicotine gets very diluted in air. But I would not vape around kids anyway, especially around infants and toddlers. And never around older kids - bad example.

I read about a study done where they swiped a smoker's room, vaper's room, and a non-smoker/non-vaper's room. They found toxic levels of nicotine on the windows and surfaces in the smoker's room, and there was little to no difference in the amount of nicotine found on the surfaces and windows in the vaper's and non-smoker/non-vaper's room. I'll try to find the name of the study and post the link.

Thanks. I don't feel comfortable vaping in front of my kids anyway. Don't want them to mimic.
I like that there are people on here thinking the same way I do. I'm a former smoker. The day my 4 yr old asked me if I just smoked after coming in from outside. I started vaping.(still... Not around or in front of her)

My wife and I vape when the kids are in bed. We live in a split level home, so their rooms are upstairs from where we vape. Still, sometimes I worry about them breathing it in. My wife vapes Cuttwood, which she knows it contains AC. That worries me a bit. Does anyone vape outside instead of indoors?

I think the not wanting to vape infront of your kids is a stand up comment, just because it is not smoking it is similar in its actions, and kids do mimic so good on you for being a responsable parent. I am also a father and when I vape it is away from my kids just as it was when I smoked.
My kids are still small, so it's easy to hide it from them. It will be more of a challenge when they are older and are able to reach high places and snoop around. I am probably a for life vaper: I guess I'll deal with it when the time comes.

I think nowadays less and less kids take up smoking anyway, it is very anti social, when I was growing up it was cool and considered the norm.
That's pretty much why I started smoking, it was just completely normal and just about everyone I knew did it.

nicotine is very sticky, most of it will stick to your lungs when inhaled, just hold your breath for 1 - 2 secs after a puff and most of it should stay in your lungs.

As for doing it around kids, I don't.
Yes but do you vape in the house when kids aren't looking?

I vape in the house late at night when the kids are asleep, I never vape in front of them, they know I do and they understand what it is and why I do but they rae at an impressionable age.
We have a B&M vape shop where I live. I see parents bringing there small children in the shop all the time. Not smart imo: no disrespect to anyone on here who does.

As far as the vapor is concerned exhaled or not that baby (pun intended) has been
put to bed. Any potentially harmful substances if found are at such low amounts
as not to be a cause for concern for secondary exposure to any one of any age.
As far as vaping in front of the children it seems to be a moral issue as opposed
to a health issue. As such its a decision best left to the parent and or guardian.

Exactly, I quit smoking when my daughter was born. I have not, and will not vape in front of her or for that matter my wife (who was never a smoker). Just my thing.
