Contest... Mothers Milk WTA e-Liquid give away. Every 200th post wins.

So, to be clear. The person that made the 200th post (which was the contest) followed all the rules, but then after the fact, due to complaints from people about other posters, the rules were changed and posts were eliminated resulting in 4 people winning (including at least one that had violated the same rule folks were complaining about), but not the person that actually made post #200?

Do I have that right?

You have it correct; once the improper posts were removed your post became something like #190 and the game continued from there.

More importantly, While I do not speak for the ECF Community as a whole - I for one appreciate very much that "You" had this contest . . . AND - IMO - as a New Vendor and this being your first contest, the way in which "You" handled - what could have been an even more difficult issue was quite dignified and fair to those who followed the rules and did not take advantage of the situation to benefit themselves (and they know who they are, especially given how "self-righteous" they behave and are in other contest - but not here) . . .

As such - While I truly appreciate and do want to try something from "Your" product line - I want to Thank You for the offer of "Free" 10ml bottle of "Mothers Milk WTA e-liquid" for speaking up - but to be very honest, it really should go to one of the first people who spoke up about what had happened "Debra_oh" . . .


Especially since - I know I will have another chance to "WIN" a Bottle of "Mothers Milk WTA e-liquid" in "Your" Next Contest . . . Just Sayin' . . .

How does your one and only post just happening to be #200 make it fair?? Especially when "that other guy" was posting 2-3 times a minute, so nobody else even had a chance of getting one in, and you just happened to wait until the right time to pounce on it!!

Ok... I'm done with all of this!! It has taken up WAY too much time and energy to begin with...

Since I was kinda late to the Party yesterday, I was reading back thru some of the posts I missed, and Debra_oh was indeed the 1st person to speak out against what had happened at the end. So I was going to suggest that she be awarded my bottle of juice (that was so generously provided by DrBeaker!!) instead... but it looks like Uncle already beat me to it!! I guess "great minds" think alike... LOL!!

I must also commend DrBeaker on handling the situation with Style and Grace, and also for his generosity in handing out the 'Prizes'... giving EVERYONE a chance to get a Free bottle with their purchase!!

I didn't realize there was a minimum number of posts requirement. What are you suggesting? We were in some type of collusion? I had seen the thread a couple of times previously and forgotten about it, cause it was obvious it would take forever. When I looked at new posts yesterday, I saw it was at 198, so entered the thread. I looked back and saw that he had made several posts in a row and was disqualifying himself. I didn't even realize why at the time, because I didn't remember that it was one post per day. I went back to the first post and read that and when I came back he had posted 199. So, yes, I then posted, fully intending to pif it to someone else that had participated more. Obviously, the person I chose ticked some of you off, even though he had done nothing malicious. The attacks on him from some of you, complete with name calling, was despicable - certainly not something that should be rewarded. There's many ways to right a ship, it doesn't have to be done by attacking people and being "self-righteous".

I'm pretty sure that if you or DebraOh had been the one that posted the 200th post, none of the uproar would have happened.

Now, like you, I'm done with this thread as well.

This is really getting silly, I posted at like 9am hoping to move the game along for others and I have been in enough games to know that if someone is disqualified for over posting the post count would be changed and my "wining" post would not be a wining post. If this is really important to you I am happy to buy a bottle and have it sent to you, just say so. This is a game, games have rules, when people break the rules it messes the game up for everyone. Dr Beaker is doing the best he can with a messed up game and if you feel cheated I am happy to send you a prize (which you can then send to whomever you like).

Uncle and Spacekitty thanks for the offer to pif your bottles but really not necessary. Why don't you both accept them and let's let this game drift into ECF history. Hopefully Dr. Beaker is willing to stick around and give us all a chance to play nice-nice with each other another time.

Yep, it was. And it was still a very nice thing to say I've been appreciative of all the posts from people who have been trying to make peace here--there's been a serious lack of civility.
