I don't think it will happen anytime in the near future. With the proposed regulations it may become a market only for big tobacco companies. If they are forced to stick with closed system versions of Blu or Fin it won't happen. The lack luster performance and taste will not be a viable alternative for most folks.

It wasn't until I found naturally extracted tobacco vapes that I knew I could kick the habit. The guys at big tobacco aren't really even moving in that direction. They probably won't because the profit margin on simple synthetic flavorings is higher. Plus, it would be public relations to have some ignorant commentator to start spouting about how they're still using tobacco to hook customers.

The Conjuring

In 1971, Carolyn and Roger Perron move their family into a dilapidated Rhode Island farm house and soon strange things start happening around it with escalating nightmarish terror. In desperation, Carolyn contacts the noted paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren, to examine the house. What the Warrens discover is a whole area steeped in a satanic haunting that is now targeting the Perron family wherever they go. To stop this evil, the Warrens will have to call upon all their skills and spiritual strength to defeat this spectral menace at its source that threatens to destroy everyone involved. 1) Do you vape in public places? If so, do you vape carefree or stealth vape?

No, I usually vape outdoors, especially when it comes to places where they have the giant "no smoking" or "this is a smoke-free facility" up front- don't want them confusing my PV for an actual analog.

I had a buddy complain to me the other day that a cloud-chaser was fogging up the mall he went to visit, and it was giving my friend a poor impression of vapers in general; security there doesn't like folks vaping indoors and this person was just chain-puffing to chain-puff.

I'd probably be more of what you'd consider a "stealth-vaper", because I've had to do that when working in the past, but most jobs seem to be accommodating to vaping over smoking these days; no "smoke breaks" needed when you can take a quick vape or two.

That said, I haven't really been in a position where I wanted to vape in a restaurant, ect. Supposing I were wanting to vape indoors, I would ask management or another authority if it was acceptable first. It just seems fair and respectable that way.

Still, I have my concerns about folks who may be PG/VG allergic and whether my vapor might affect them.

So, I just vape outdoors / in the car mainly. Except at home: We're all vapers here. :vapor:

2) How long do you think it's going to take before e cigs overtake analogs?

This is a toughie. When we consider the relative speed that vaping technology has developed as interest in vaping grows, we will see an increase in which "adequate" devices are the norm, and cigalikes will be supplanted by this new technology. As it stands, EGO batteries and the like are smaller devices, but still don't fit in the hand like an analog.

This is an intimidating sell for someone who just wants to "try one out", because most cigalikes are crap compared to even a basic EGO starter kit. When a person who knows nothing about e-cigarettes (I detest this term because we are not smoking analogs; maybe Digirettes or something, but in the end they're just PVs we vape nicotine/pg/vg from) the first thing that comes to mind is often a cigalike.

I realize further downsizing of the basic 510 model is not a wise decision due to battery life, but my feeling is that tobacconists will begin to start stocking NET e-liquids a couple of years or less down the line, and we'll see NETs perfected via scientific process.

If people can come and try an e-liquid and device out before making a purchase on a worthless cigalike, they will be much more apt to purchase something they can try hands-on, be hands-on with, and happily leave with. Most newbies to vaping literally have nowhere to start.

Where do I give them links to?

This forum, names of NET vendors who helped me kick the analog craving, and immediately dismiss whatever they've tried that was supposed to taste like tobacco and didn't- well, I counter that by explaining what NETs are and how they're extremely different than traditional e-juice. I've even cut my nicotine level down lower than everyone else in the house....

...oh, right, back on topic.

I think that if progress is currently unimpeded by governmental agencies, we will see a full transition to PVs/E-cigarettes within a timeframe of 4-7 years. All it takes is one tastes from the right PV, with the right liquid to "unhook" someone from analogs.

It was an RY4 in a "21st century smoke" that helped get me off of analogs.

I didn't even know what an RY4 was at the time, and I didn't know I was using a cigalike, or what that was, either.

....admittedly, I have heard people tell me that their doctors are telling them it's "worse for you than smoking".... unfortunately, I have to then inform them that their doctor is an idiot.

OOOOoooOOoooOOOOOooo!!!

Do you really wanna go there? :p Kinda touchy topic in ECF Land. Anyway.

1.) Yes
1a.) Carefree in any public space
1b.) Stealth (but not paranoid stealth) in semi-public places like stores, subways etc.

I vape in public, I smoked in public so I don't see any reason to hide my vaping. I vape inside of places where smoking is allowed, which here thankfully smoking is still allowed in many of the restaurants. I don't get withdrawals if I don't vape like it did with smoking so not being able to vape somewhere doesn't really bother me.
