Two friends went deer hunting. After walking to the woods they split up with plans to meet back there at sunset. At 5:30 the first man arrives at the rendez-vous site and sees his friend slumped against a tree bleeding badly from a bullet wound. He carried him 2 miles back to the car and 60 miles to the hospital. He paces in the emergency room for 20 minutes and finally the doctor comes out to tell him that his friend has died.
"He might have had a better chance, " the doctor said, "if you hadn't field dressed him"
