Contingency Plans for After the Ban Takes Effect

Perhaps I am overly optimistic, but I doubt there will be a problem even if they are banned. We users can simply order our supplies from China. Customs can't possibly inspect and contain every small package that goes through.

The whole customs thing is totally overblown anyway. It's the HUGE shipments going through which are being detained.

I think you're right, but for me to worry about each shipment, losing maybe $100 + if a shipment is held and the possibility of a fine if caught is just too much for me. Not saying any of this will happen, but just what if?

I just ordered the I-inhale. This is becoming costly, but I DON'T WANT TO START SMOKING ANALOGS AGAIN!, OK, I'll stop screaming...whew.

And when it comes to the juice, well, I'll find a way. I already have the recipe for making your own, I'd just have to do a LOT of research before I did.

Depends on where you live. Customs in Honolulu apparently has nothing better to do than inspect every single package I have come in from anywhere, no matter what it is.

Whenever I order anything that has to go through customs, I send it to a relative in another state and have them forward it to me through another carrier.

Hawaii passed a law allowing us to order cheaper medicine overseas, but the feds decided to overrule state law, so they open everything coming in just in case it might be contraband. I've had packages sit in customs for weeks.

I just did a search for hookah and water pipe on Google shopping. Tons of results.

Operation Pipe Dreams an ongoing DEA crack down on sellers of paraphernalia on the internet.

DEA Ongoing Programs, Operation Pipedreams

Tommy Chong spent 9 months in prison for it. What you saw online was either businesses ran outside of the US or companies who haven't been busted yet.

EDIT - Hookahs really are for tobacco.

That is IF they are willing to ship to us.
They could just say, No sorry we do not ship to your country at this time.

I read all about it at RTV. Sounds wonderful! I am going to order it next month. I joined RTV while ago, but haven't post a peep there yet.

Why do you think I-Inhale would never be banned? It sounds too good to be true! :thumb:
Is that an Australian Cattle Dog? Hope it doesn't breath any of your vapor cuz vapin' is banned in Australia;)

Hookahs really are for tobacco.

What an objects intended use is, and what its actual use ends up being are two completely different things.

Sure, the box says its a butter knife, it came with a fork and a spoon-- but if you ask me, I think its a lovely flat head screwdriver and staple pryer-upper :D

I don't think the e smoking will ever be a problem for the truely devoted, plenty of us no how to tinker with electronics. I'm worried about the liquid. Assuming the devise is banned, the e juice will also be out of the question. The only thing we'll have to go by is information- how to books and recipites for liquid. At least some of our rights won't be stripped away....I think.

We make them here in the USA.

First of all there is no way that the devices could be banned or put under any suppressive control.

Stock up on Nic, if you are so inclined.

Other then that, don't worry.

You make what in the USA?

Do you make E Cigs in the USA or do you just drop ship from China?

Last time I checked NO vendor has made e cigs (battery mods is different) in the USA.

Enlighten me on who makes atomizers in the USA?

I haven't posted in months and this is totally OT, but ...... it: Seriously, hookahs are for tobacco. THC won't vapourise very well at the temps produced by hookah coal. Few people successfully use them the way you suggest. Not to mention it ruins a hookah. They sell them in head shops, but they'll sell any old rubbish in head shops. An apple makes a better pipe than a hookah, that's some proper Macgyvering!

On topic, I imagine if it our funsticks are banned in the US, the hype will deaden and we'll have a few more years in Europe. If worst comes to worst, don't try making freebase nicotine from tobacco, get a European friend.

I reckon the poster means "if they are banned, then you [will] make them in the USA"

If imports are banned - and outside of the hype here, atomizers are SO inoccuous -you could get around this easily. With the specs, any manufacturer under contract or DIYer could make them, and sell them as whatever they want (incense burners, etc). Just get a few heads together and get someone to make a batch. This is the internet, guarantee you there's a few retired folks with a lathe somewhere!

Down the rabbit hole..
Wildsky, when you try the i-inhale, let me know how it works with liquid, I have been very curious.

Be careful though, I imagine it will go through liquid way fast, you may need to dilute it severely?
I got my I-inhale (Iolite) from Smokejuice last week and I love it!! I'm having a blast experimenting with different mixtures and flavors!! Its not hard on ejuice and the vape lasts a long time! No batteries, no attys just a little butane. I still use my other ecigs 901.401 and 510 but its a hoot so I'm ready and I've been ordering lots of juice and stocking up. I'm waiting on my Prodigy from PureSmoker (hopefully they'll start making their own USA made attys soon).I haven't, knock on wood, had any problems getting things thru customs yet! I just got 650ml of juice from Eastmall delivered in a week!!
