So, I had to get some shopping done the other day. I went to the dreaded mall. I always get a kick out of walking past the "smokingeverywhere" kiosk. Seeing those guys sucker people into buying a extremely marked up product makes me a little sad though.
So, I stoped just because I was curious about their prices and if they sell bottles of liquid yet, which they do... By the way the 20 ml bottle is about $90!8-o They guy at working there saw the shock on my face when he said the price and heard me quickly copy him and say "$90?" but I used a differnt tone of voice, one of shock and dismay.
I told him that they are extremely overpriced, and i showed him a few websites and he was then shocked! He saw the "Screwdriver" from TW and said "i have to buy one of those!" He was a nice guy and I let him try some of my liquid and he was very suprised and actually choked on the vapor! haha. We had a good chat and i realized, This guy shouldnt be the brunt of my hatred of Smokingeverywhere. He had no idea how overpriced his things are, after all... he just works there. I told him we should buy a kiosk in the mall and sell Good e cigarette products and put smoking everywhere out of business. he thought it was a good idea.

The price is not the problem, people have the right to make a profit, even though many vapors think they should get it a tiny bit above china's prices.

The problem as I see it is the stuff they sell is junk, people buying it may well be turned off by the high price junk they was sold, at any rate selling in a mall has high cost, and it carry's more risk then normal.

All that being said ya it's high priced junk, but it's the tobacco shops fault, every mall has one why are they not selling better ecigs stuff. They could stop it pretty fast, and make up some of the lost sales, from the much higher taxes on tobacco's.

One has to care enough to seek out the knowledge of what is available and reasonably bright to figure out which way is up. The guys selling the stuff just don't care enough to know.

Just an FYI...

I talked to the smoke shop in the local mall. This mall has a SE kiosk as well. He said they wanted to start carrying them, but the mall signed a contract with the SE vendor giving him exclusive rights to sell within the mall. Meaning no one else can have ANY PV/E-NI product while his contract is in force.

I'd say SE lawyers are pretty good. Only if the SE guy chooses not to renew his lease at the end of this month can anyone else begin to carry them.

Here's hoping he's had a lousy January!

ohh i agree that they have the right to make a profit. Totally! But i just find it unfortunate that the prices are that jacked up. I think the people that really love everything e cigarette would be happy to sell at a better price. and i think at a lower price they would sell more of those peices of junk.
I think i would be fun to sell to the general public, Or at least have a local shop that is excited about e cigarettes and loves to chat about them with costomers without trying to sell one brand for too much money. I dont know, i guess i just like the relationship part of buying tobacco like products, whether it be buying cigarettes at the local gas station everyday and being given your brand of smokes right when you walk in the door. or chating with your local tobaconist at the cigar of pipe store. i must admit i miss that.

Yes tobacco shops would have tons of different flavors to try I'm sure, the shops at the malls around here, have a smoke room people use a lot even that is nice.

I asked about the pipe tobacco before getting any, the guy told me yes it's the same tobacco, they changed it to work for roll our own. And it was only it said pipe tobacco, and had a tiny bit dark put in with it.

You know it's funny. I admit i try to avoid them too when i am at the mall and the prices piss me off as well...But this is the same company using their big bada$$ lawyers to help get e-cigs through this country!! So while we may not care for their overpriced products...I am now a huge fan of their company for what they are accomplishing in the e-cig community!

Who cares what price they charge or what they sell....we just go online and buy something else anyway!

I talk with my local SE guy on a regular basis, and have even talked to some of his customers for him. I always tell them that I started with a similar model (SS Choice No. 7) and quit smoking on the spot. Once I knew that this was for me, I did the research and picked up other equipment.
The SE guy doesn't really mind. His opinion is that some will stick with it and buy from him. Some will go to the web, and some will quit. They buy from him initially and that makes him happy. I get to talk to people and try and get them to stop smoking, and let them know that there are alternatives at the same time! Works for me.

btw. The local SE guy now uses a TW 510 when not at work!

Does anyone have a JPG of a Smoking Everywhere or similar kiosk? As an old retailer, I'm curious what they look like.

Living on an out island in Hawaii, we don't even have malls let alone kiosks. I hoped to see one when I was in Vegas last week but there was nothing like it in the huge mall near my hotel.
