I would go SVD, I've dropped mine a few times and my heart sank into my stomach, still works great. I've heard of people dropping a vamo and having it break from 2ft up.

If he wants something small maybe the MVP from innokin would work the best size wise.

I would agree. Get the SVD, I have an SVD and it works amazing. He'll just have to play with the settings to what he likes. I've dropped my SVD off the roof of my work, so i'd say about 20 feet, and it actually took a little piece out of the concrete and just put a little scruff mark on the bottom. Great mod. You can but a kit on fast tech for about sixty bucks. I have now upgraded since, now i'm all mechanical and building sub ohm coils. I didn't know how i would like mechanical mods so i bought a cheap nemesis clone off of Fast Tech for 25 dollars and that was probably the best buy i have ever made.

If you're looking at Innokin products, I'd go with the MVP for the $50 range. Still at under $100 you can get the VTR which has the tank recessed and keeps it protected. Both VV/VW. I have both. I'm thinking the VTR will be my work mod since I need something built like a tank as I work in the construction trades.

The recessed and guarded tank is a great feature since the tank connection is the weakest link.

For the golf course the svd may be 2 heavy. I'm telling you the 1500vv or 1100 vv or something like that is best. Plenty of battery to last all day and pocket friendly(shouldn't have a problem swinging). Also I'd say the vision tank is the must have for that activity. Large 5ml capacity pt heads, glass, light and cheap.
