Glad you made it safe, James. Not a good way to start the day....
Yeah, it certainly wasnt a great start. But its gotten better. One of our tech's is turning 40 this weekend. Instead of cake, his wife brought in breakfast cassaroles. Eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, and cheese. Very good stuff. She also brought in sticky rolls made from biscuit dough rolled up and drizzled with a maple syrup mixture. I had to stop myself after eating two servings before I got a stomach ache. Now, everyone is gone except the bosses. They are hanging around because their boss isnt in and we have power outages all over the city. Its a combo of weather induced and stupid induced. If its not ice and high wind bringing down power lines, its ...... thinking that 4WD means they have traction on ice.

Mrs E just had the rails put on the luggage rack on the van. Why advertise a van with a luggage rack, when it doesnt have the rails to actually use it? But, it had to be done. We're going to need that rooftop carrier thing on the trip to Disney. Im both looking forward and not looking forward to that.

Now she's bringing the kids with her to come eat lunch with me today. :D Unfortunately, the kids have all been turds this morning. Oh well.

I'm home. I got called into work this morning. I had to stop half way through to take pepto to Alex at school. Then when I got off I got a call to come to the school again because he was having another panic attack. Went up there and we talked about what to do now because he's back to missing a lot of his classes and having to come home early a lot. We're going to try a couple of days next week and see how it goes and if it doesn't change then we're putting him back on home bound school. Poor kid. I don't know what to do to help him. We've switched meds and so far no help. I hope the doesn't sound horrible to say but I'm tired and sure wish things would quiet down around here. *sigh* I'm done .....in now. Sorry.

I don't have kids (had a scare before, though), but I don't think it sounds bad at all. You need your sanity to raise your family and take care of yourself. PM me if you want to talk.

I'm sooooooooo sick of building AR-15. Guess what I'm building today? AR-15s. 7 of them. And 1 AR-10 (AR chambered in .308).

....ing kill me! And I'm still not over this 'cold'. Ughh

Stay safe James. Those bridges will get you everytime. We once did a 360 in our mini van.Turned one big circle. When we came out of the spin we were facing the right direction and continued to drive on our merry way...

Been a fun morning so far. Went to let the dogs out and start the work van, but the doors were iced shut. Finally got in, started the van, cranked up the defroster, and went back inside to finish getting ready. CJ woke up, and I tucked him back in after he used the bathroom. Went to let the dogs back in, and my van had quit running. By now, its time to leave, and the man's information display says "starting disabled". I had to wait ten minutes before it would start, then I had to hold the RPMs up to keep it from stalling out again. Then wait for the heat to thaw out the windshield. Finally started on my way to work. Thanks to no traction control, I slid on black ice for the first three miles. Then on every bridge, which there are at least 6 of before I make it to the interstate. Passed three wrecks because of less than smart drivers. Made it to work a half hour late. This is one of the few times I'm thankful for having to be at work an hour before everyone else.
