Many people dislike FB

Computer repair guy in my town loves FB. Since 80% of his business now is cleaning off viruses from people's computers they got via FB. He has even been able to move to a better building.

My week so far: My lab has come down w/arthritis, only 6, but he weights 75lbs so ......he was really in rough shape, not himself at all, and not putting a lot of pressure on one foot/leg.......so vet gave him a steroid shot and sent me home with Cosequin (the vet grade stuff is NOT cheap, but I figure for winter I will use it, maybe switch to human-grade cheaper in summer.)

Anyway, not sure if it was steroids shot or what, but he sure is feeling his oats, a little too much.......night before last, out of the blue, my two dogs got into it. They never do this! By the time I got to them, the lab had my 14 year old oldster (who I'm sure probably started it, he is very cranky and guards resources) ---pinned to the ground. The oldster used to be able to kick ........and he sure was the alpha when the big lab was a baby......but just found out the other night he is no longer king of the mountain.....Anyway, had a couple shallow puncture wounds on top of his head, and a gash over his eye---- 2.a.m. in morning. I cleaned him up (I'm not gonna wake my vet up at 2a.m unless an eyeball is hanging out or something) and then I gave him some antibiotics. Looked tip top next day....went to vet again. Everything good. Why?
I used my "Miracle stuff": Underwood's Horse Linament. I mix it up in a spray bottle, and then, you take baking powder, the kind you cook with, and just do a light dusting over top of the Underwoods. buy some, it heals wounds on dogs, cats, horses, lickety split....my former vet turned me on to it. If your animal get any kind of wound, even an entire legged ripped open on barbed wire fence, this stuff will heal it up fast.

Anyway, all this has gotten me kinda stressed. :( A $200 week so far on the dogs.

What are you reading James? I'm on the 4th Game of Thrones book, but think I'm going to take a break and read some Odd Thomas when I finish this one.
Im reading a Clive Cussler novel from the Oregon Files series called Plague Ship (5 in a series of 8). Clive Cussler is by far my favorite author. Next in line is Dale Brown.

I've got books comin' out of my ears here, I'm on a book swap (after trying out about 5 of them I finally found a great one) so I'm always mailing and receivng......sort of like vape mail. USPS should make me an honorary ....something.

I can't like any of that except that you know what to do. :( I keep watching mine closely as the King of the hut Jake is getting old and slow. And cranky. And Victor keeps reminding him that he is faster and stronger. The battle is coming....

Arthri-soothe gold for the arthritis, it's all natural and it has really helped Jake. He had a torn ACL and it really helped him heal quickly. It also helps keep his big fat .... going up and down the stairs easier.

This looks good! Thank you! I will have to try....has Hyaluronic Acid and MSM in it too, I would prefer the natural stuff, and reports say dogs like it.........right now, I'm having to do the "prying open clenched jaws" to administer the the vet-grade Cosequin, which I hate to do, as much as they hate having me do it.

You know, I don't fault them, I mean, I had tiffs w/my brothers growing up, but we have hands....dogs only have their mouth/teeth and so some injury sometimes gets inflicted and it is not "intentional". I mean if it was intentional, they could rip each other's throats out if they wanted to  It was just an "argument" over some resource, not sure what, as when I give special treats I always make sure they have their own safe space to enjoy them in.

I can't remember not having dogs, and there is always going to be some of that vying for status/territorial stuff going on, it's in their nature, it's how dogs have survived centuries. It always SOUNDS more scary than it is, you know, sounding ferocious. They've been best friends for going on 7 years....

My vet actually gave me my first bottle of it and asked me to try it out on Jake's creaky old bones. I was amazed, and he will never be without it. I get it at Amazon. It's a huge tablet looking thing, I just plop one in his food bowl twice a day.

Mine will bicker over stupid things some days. Your foot has been touching mine for too long.... You are laying on my favorite toy... Or Victor gets bored and starts boxing Jake while he's sleeping. Victor also loves dragging himself over Jake. And me. It's funny to watch when it's someone else, but when he's dragging his huge body across you, not so funny. The boy just ain't right.
