Supper tonight consists of baked salmon filets, buttered brussel sprouts, and cheese covered cauliflower. Morgan is having yucky boxed mac and cheese with her salmon.

Chinese tonight.I love me some PF Changs.....

Mmmm, chinese does sound good.

YEA home.Sent hubby for pulled pork BBQ.Just don't feel like people.:lol:

I had some good bbq the other day. My granny sent it home with me.

Time for dinner. Im gonna grill some chops. And some of those chops will be covered in blackened seasoning.

Are they boneless? Sounds good! Have you ever tried using the thick boneless pork chops and splitting them in the middle and stuffing them with something?

Good almost afternoon! Been busy this morning. The lab tech woke us up at 6am. Neither of us got much sleep. I dont know how those sleep studies get any accurate information. But, since he did so good, I took the little dood to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. I didnt even bother with a kids meal for him. That boy can EAT.

Last night, I found out that my wife's friend since 3rd grade was in town for a job interview. She got the job and starts Tuesday. But that means that she may not have a place to stay. She is trying to see if she can live with her aunt, but it doesnt look promising. So, she may be staying with us for a few weeks. Im good with that. Live in babysitter. And, when we go to Disney in a couple of weeks, live in house sitter. She stayed here with Mrs E last night while I had CJ at the sleep study. When we got home, I asked her if she minded watching the kids for a couple of hours so I could take the missus to the gun range. She did really well! I know you cant judge a person's ability with a firearm after just one trip, but I can now say I feel comfortable with her using it. At 10-15ft, every round was at least in a ring, with only one off the paper. Now I need to see if I can hunt down ammunition... My range/gun shop said it would be more than a month before they got more in. Bleh. And their gun cases are nearly empty. They had NO .45, .40, and only a handfull of 9mm and .22.

That's great that she went to the range and did well. For beginners, I set the target at 3 yards for 2 mags and then 5, then 7. Try that next time you take her.

What did she think about the experience? Loading, chambering, aiming and the report? Was she comfortable with it? Could it be something that y'all start doing together for fun? If so, you know you're going to have to get another gun. Maybe not for her, either. I've heard of many wives claiming their husband's XD.

Also do 'zipper drills'. Put one in the body, the head then the body again as fast as possible. And chest shot double taps.

.

I know once I started shooting it was definitely something that hubby and I love to do together. Of course he likes to give me the guns to try out and not tell me the recoil will knock me on my ..... Or leave permanent dents in my shoulder. I'm not so much interested in getting his XDM but would love to have his LCP. It's nice and pocket sized.

My ex did that with his black powder rifle! He put a double load in it without telling me, bruised my shoulder!

They were boneless thin cuts. They cook in less than 10 mins over med-high heat. I dusted half of them with garlic salt and black pepper and the other half got sprinkled with Zatarains Blackened Seasoning. Ive tried Old Bay blackened seasoning before and it doesnt even compare to Zatarains.

Ive done stuffed chops before. Only once. Stuffed with cheddar and chopped bacon. They were REALLY good.

With only 50 rounds that I had bought weeks ago (the last 50 rounds the store had), We didnt have enough to go through the three distances, but I did make her do two. 3 yards and 7 yards. She was ok with her own report. It was the other lanes that made her flinch. The recoil was no problem at all. She is still having problems with racking the slide, but loading, releasing the slide, and firing were no problems. The grips of the XD were too big for her hand, but she adjusted well. If she continues to enjoy it, I have a feeling we will have to look for something with a smaller grip. Maybe a Bersa or something. But Im still proud of her.

I'll do my best to keep up with the site, thank you for it.
