Im glad everything is ok Tiff.

And now its time to leave. Gonna get home and try not to smack my family... The kids still dont know where we're going. And with the wife being sick, that means that I get to drive all the way to Savannah, GA, then all the way to Orlando. She has been taking the meds, so with any luck, she will start feeling better by the time we get to Orlando late Saturday morning.

I'll check in when/if I can. Y'all have a great Easter Weekend.

I'm trying the Pumkin Pie sample you sent FV - unfortunately I filled my Cobra with it reight after another juice which I'm sure had lime oil in it. So I'm getting kind of a key lime pumpkin pie experience :( I might have to ask for another sample of that or just order a bottle. It's very creamy, and I'm sure quite delicious unfortunately it's also limey (like me)..... oops

((Tiff)) - Very scary I'm surprised they didn't give you an epi pen along with the haldol if there was a chance of an alergic reasction like that. Wow

JD - I'm flad you're you're flad BTW....

This wasn't a typical or common reaction to this medicine from my understanding. Of course all meds have a laundry list of side effects and most don't happen. Unfortunately, because of her different issues she has to be on meds. It sure makes me scared to put her on anything different now though. A few months ago she got the gardisil vaccine and had a reaction to it. It wasn't near as scary or strange as this reaction but a reaction none the less.

And we are down to less than 12 hours before we embark on a journey of excessive spending, unending aggrivations, and of course, the most fun that the kids have ever had. That makes the other two parts worth it.... At least, thats the theory.
If she starts on the drugs, she will at least be able to start getting around again by tomorrow. So, its going to be cutting it close. We're leaving tonight, but we wont get to the park until tomorrow.

Yep. Brat burger! There is no casing. The meat is just pressed into a burger patty. Absolutely nothing fancy about them, but they are REALLY good.

Re: the Second Happiest Place on Earth (the happiest is in Anaheim, California!): I hope it's everything the kids are expecting, and more bearable than you fear! ;)

Re: Brat burgers: I'd be on those like hair on a gorilla.

Glad everything is settling back to normal for you Tiff. Hope she feels much better soon.....

Hey Posse. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers this morning and thank you James for updating everyone. Let me give you a quick run down of what happened. It scared the $h!t out of me and Morgan both!

Earlier this week her psychiatrist started her on a new medicine, Haldol, to see if it would help with the tics and see if it would stop the skin picking and incontinence issues. The thought was that they could possibly be tics and we wanted to see if this new med would work. Let's just say she WILL NOT be taking that again!

Yesterday I had to pick her up from school early because they said she didn't seem like she felt good and was really sleepy and had an upset stomach. I brought her home and she slept from 2:30 until 6. She got up for about an hour and a half to eat a little and then right back to sleep and slept all night. I got up this morning, made my coffee, said good morning on the thread then started our morning routine. This morning I got her up for school and gave her breakfast and her morning meds. After about 20 minutes she came to me and said her neck felt funny and it was pulling to the side and she couldn't stop it. She would force her neck back straight and it would immediately pull back to the side. Within a few minutes her mouth started to droop on one side and she started having trouble talking. I called hubby at work and told him (he's an EMT) and he said to get her to the hospital. It just kept getting worse before I could get out of the house to take her to the hospital and it was scary. I just ended up calling 911 and having them come out. By then her neck was all the way to the side and she couldn't move it and her mouth was drooping and she was slurring her words when she could get them out.

I was pretty sure it was an adverse reaction to the new med but was scared because the inital symptoms resembled a possible stroke. Talk about freakin' out. She was crying and asking me the best she could to help her. Broke my heart. The ambulance got here and gave her a massive dose of benadryl through an iv and the symptoms started to improve. At the ER they gave her more and they completely subsided. They kept her a while to watch her and then sent us home for her to rest and on benadryl today and tomorrow until this med can work it's way out of her system. She is fine now and asleep from the benadryl and the med I had already given her this morning. Talk about feeling bad about giving her something that did that to her.

Spring break starts Monday and we're going to Ft. Walton Beach for the week. We all need the break and rest. I think I'm going to lay down with her and read my book while she's resting before I have to go pick up Alex from school. Hubby is at work today and won't be home til tomorrow then he'll be off for a week. Thank goodness!

That's all I got right now. I'll be back later after my tension headache improves and I pick up Alex from school. Thanks again for all the thoughts!

So glad she is ok, Tiff....
