Im glad youre having a great time SP! I got the bacon (go figure) deluxe basket. It was seriously almost $9. It was good, just not $9 good.
Indeed I did and I was. Im glad those birthday parties are only once a year. I couldnt handle more than that. And with the girls out of the house, CJ slept in. Till almost 9am. Until the dogs tore through the house repeatedly to let me know it was time to go out. Running dogs on wood floors arent exactly quiet.
I make mine clean every weekend. Usually on Sunday. And yes, it helps.
The weather is confused here. It was raining two hours ago. Sunny an hour ago. And now its cloudy again.Thunderstorms trying to sneak up on us again. I'm sick of rain.
Fried bologna sammich here. Fried bologna on sourdough and grilled. Yummmmmmm.

You don't know how long and hard I've tried to get these kids to do what they're supposed to do. It's like talking to a wall and they completely ignore me. When hubby is home, they jump. Really sucks.

That's a great story! Your trip has been very educational so far. Now I have "George Washington was a tagger" trivia to share. I love obscure stuff like that.
Tiff, I agree with Stretchy. I always start obedience training right away - 10-12 weeks. The key is VERY short periods when they are that young - 5 minutes is about the maximum attention span for a puppy. Make it fun for them, and when they start to lose interest, time to quit. I have a couple of really good PDF files about training if you want 'em.
I think Ruger has puppy ADHD. Seriously. I love him to death but he has the attention span of a knat. YES!! I would love the PDF files you have. I'll PM you my email addy.

I spent most of the day with my mom. We worked on some stuff she was making for Morgan's room. Then we went to a couple of antique consignment shops. I bought a super nice coffee table and an end table I'll have to sand down, prime, and repaint. But I got a super, duper deal on both and have wanted a real coffee table for a few years now. The rattan basket with a lid we have right now is far past it's expected lifespan. I probably sholdn't have bought them but since hubby said he almost bought a new gun the other day I figured I'd buy something I wanted.
I can't decide what I'm going to do tomorrow. I will either go to my Granny's to visit, paint the bathroom that I taped up two weeks ago and haven't been able to do yet, or try to cut the grass. Emphasis on TRY.
I do know I want to take a walk with Ruger, which should be interesting since he hates the leash.

Does anyone watch Big Brother or Dexter? BB started last week and Dexter starts tonight. I love both those shows.

I know I didnt exactly help with the chit chat. I took a two and a half hour nap.
Dinner was another fried bologna sammich followed by a leftover birthday cupcake.

Two and a half hour sounds fabulous. I stayed up late last night. Fried bologna sandwich = yuck. I'm gonna turn on Dexter. After that, maybe some laundry. Fun stuff!!

Mr. V needs new shoes. Well, just one actually. Victor greeted us at the door with the remains.

Good morning Posse. Its Monday. Again.
This week shouldnt be too bad though... Its only a three day work week for me. Off July 4th (obviously), and I took the 5th off too so I can get some bbq smoked for our July 4th cookout on the 6th. I cant decide on doing two or three butts. I was planning on two because thats all I can fit on the grill at one time, but Mrs E doesnt think that will make enough.
And naturally, since we're planning something outside this weekend, its supossed to rain all week. Its great for the temps, but thats about it.

I'm hoping this week is only a 2 1/2 work week. We normally get early dismissals the day before a holiday. I can't remember if they give it to us for 4th of July or not. Oh well... even a 3 day work week isn't bad. I'm dragging my .... today, but I guess I'd better get started.

OOOOOOOOH!!!!!! Youre right!!!! We normally get out early too! The downside for me, though, is that it still gives me an hour more at work than everyone else. If we all get to leave at 3pm, everyone gets a free two hours of pay, since their day ends at 5p. Since my day ends at 4, I only get one free hour. I dont mind though. The manager will usually help me out a little bit here and there to make up for it.
