It's raining...No fireworks tonight..I guess that's O.K. I have 2 dogs that won't mind a bit....I'm waiting for Office Max to tell me to come get my computer....

I'd call them. Tell them you run a small business and need to have it up and running asp.

Take her along! It will be fun for both of you.
Happy 4th of July!!!

Janie!!! Good to see you, you've been missed!! :):):)

I'll be heading over to Ian's house for BBQ, debating on whether to take Xena with me. I'm leaning towards yes, poor baby spends most days by herself when I'm at work. Even 2 large dogs and 3 small kids has to be better than that!

If you go, your house will stay cleaner longer.
Cleaning is done. Now to laze around...

We just got an invitation to a barbecue later tonight. I'm not sure I want to go. It's hot as blazes outside and it will seriously cut into my laze around time...

I love mine too. I was amazed at how much hair I got out of my guys. Much less on the floor that way.
Went to wallyworld to return a coupla shirts. Picked up a clone furminator, wow Lets just say it dose the job easer and faster than my shedding blade and brushing. Well worth the money. IMO

Not really though. The biggest cause of the mess will be left in the house. :glare:

Our friend told me to bring them along and they could run wild on their property. Sure, with no fence and a road bordering two sides of their property. In whose definition does that sound even a little bit relaxing for me? Their property is about 10 acres, but my guys could cover that in about 2 minutes. I think they're used to their Chihuahua. He used to run pretty fast but he never really got very far with his little legs. Now he's about 14 and it's all the poor thing can do to walk between his bed and his food dish.

I'd be a nerves wreck. wondering were they were looking every 5 seconds to see if I could see them. No not relaxing at all.:lol:

Exactly!

Yeeks, that does not sound like a good idea. I'd leave the boys home where they're safe.

Yup, that's exactly where they'll be staying. Messing up the freshly cleaned house. :)

Sounds like a man with a plan...Where are you going on vacation?

Taking a week to travel up the California coast. Even going to go to the Gilroy Garlic Festival while we're up there, since I've never been and heard it's a lot of fun. Monterey, Gilroy, and a couple of days at my favorite B&B in the entire worls in Cambria. YAY!

That is just dumb.

I generally agree. People always think "healthy food" for a dog is the same as healthy food for a human. It's not. They aren't built to eat like us. Now...I understand the salmonella issue IF their concern is a dog in a hospital environment potentially passing it from their muzzle, etc. Dogs pretty much don't get salmonella, since their digestive systems are much more acidic/caustic than ours. Bacteria, etc. that survive a trip through a human digestive system don't make it in a dog's system.

If that is the concern (the hospital thing), the key would be to stick to high-quality dry and wet food that is grain free. I don't even feed my dogs rice (brown rice is probably the only "ok" grain for dogs, but there isn't really an up-side to feeding it, so why do it?).

That always makes me giggle!

That would make anyone gigle!

And we are not going tonight. But we are on for Saturday. Fishing, a picnic on the lake, and they always shoot the fireworks over the lake. It looks amazing from the water. I'm excited!

And I'm jealous, da**it! Have fun!

After the game, there was a flag presentation by a couple of vets representing each branch of the armed forces. Then all of the fans sang each branch's "fight" song. CJ thought it was awesome when Mrs E said "Thats Daddy's song!" for the Navy one, and "Thats Pop pop's song!" for the Air Force. "Thats Uncle Cory's song!" for the Marines. And "That's Uncle Steve's song" for the Army. Yep... We are a VERY proud flag waving family.

That is VERY cool, James. There is a special place reserved in Heaven for those who go in harm's way for others.

Happy 4th of July! Long time no see, I hope everyone is doing well. I know I've be absent for awhile. The depression and panic monsters invaded my head and I started the stinkies again. I felt I was being contradictive posting because I wasn't vaping. I have all vaping devices ready and set to start again today.

We were in Minnesota for 10 days (6/20-6/30), a trip we had planned back in April. We went back for my cousin's wedding in Northern MN and spent some time up at the lake cabin, then we headed to St. Paul and stayed with some friends. We put our house on the market as our renters gave their 60 day notice - and they won't pay the last months rent!!! If we do not see a portion of the rent by today (hand delivered to a friend) we will file "Unlawful Detainers" against them to the court in Minnesota.

Sad news, there was a work force reduction at hubby's company and he was part of it. So along with 50 other people, he was laid off about 4 weeks ago. He has applied for a lot of jobs already. If he gets one out of state or down in San Diego (lots of jobs down there), I will stay here with AJ until he graduates next June.

Em graduated on May 18. We are so proud of her. She just got offered a job as a Medical Scribe that she'll start training for next week. The pay is just above minimum wage, so we'll have to continue to help out, but not as much as before. Its a great job. 40 hours a week. They have 5 different shifts so she can see what its like to work with an ER doctor on different shifts. Her job is to arrive 30 minutes prior to the doctor she is assigned to, get the ER charts ready, prioritize them and then go in with the doctor and type in all of the doctors orders and diagnosis.

Thats about it! Dull life! I'll try not to stray from the boards again :)

Janie!!!!! Long time no see! Very sorry to hear about the DH's job and the house situation, but it's great to see you back.

We have a way of grilling in the rain. We call it raincoats.

Edit: Mr. V said that he is living proof that awesomeness does not melt.

Mr. V knows whereof he speaks. :D
