Home Depot didnt have the grill shelter, so we went and got it from Walmart. I got it mostly together when it started raining. Then it stopped. And I got it together and it started raining as I was anchoring it to the deck.

I think it came out pretty good!

We have a way of grilling in the rain. We call it raincoats.

Edit: Mr. V said that he is living proof that awesomeness does not melt.
If you have a stainless steel grill, thats all fine and dandy. But when you have a grill that is susceptible to rust, you tend to steer clear from taking the grill cover off in the rain.

We grill in the snow too James. *poke*
If it snowed here, I would too!

Wow... you really know how to live it up.
What she said!!!

Well we're home a bit earlier than I expected. It wasn't the entire family that showed up, just Mandy's mom and her grandad, and they both left about an hour before I did.The BBQ was great, hotdogs, chicken and ribs, with potato salad, fruit salad, green salad.
Xena refused to eat her dinner kibble, but was begging chips and stuff from the grandkids. Apollo and Rambo were very well behaved, after the first sniff-fest with Xena, they hung back and took her growling seriously. The grandkids had much better luck, they were able to pet and hug her, and even got some kisses! :)

Xena is crashed out in her bed right now, and I don't blame her!

Had some bbq chicken cooked in the oven and fries for dinner. Still a yucky rainy day. We do have a fresh watermelon for dessert!
You should try it in a crock pot too! Just drop the chicken in and pour BBQ sauce on it until the chicken is mostly covered.

We've been dodging storms all day. We've had a couple of quick downpours, and a lot of thunder in the distance. And thunder is rolling right now. Coupled with a bunch of folks setting off fireworks.

We had some that were cooked in the crock pot, it was so juicy and tender. We keep getting hit with periods of wind and a lot of rain. It's supposed to get bad here soon, then it's heading your way.

I never thought I would see the day I said this, but your .... looks marvelous James.

Grill bunker looks cool too, like a little gazebo!
Why thank you ma'am. I wish you were closer and you could taste it.

I think the grill thinggy looks cool too. It even has LED lights! I need to get back out there and cover the grill up though, IF its cooled off enough. We've got another nasty line of storms that will hit in a few minutes.
