I wish you could too.I would so love that.Taking him today was bittersweet. He loves to go bye bye and he knows when I gather certain things he's going to the groomer.I have always had to use a gentle leader because he would drag me down trying to get to the car....I didn't need it today...There was no mad dash to the car...It wasn't that long ago that I couldn't have taken him out without it.The same with picking him up. He didn't need it.He did eat a whole bowl of dogfood and drank the entire pan of water so I know he's not sick. He's just winding down....getting old.....I'm sad...He'll be the last of the Newfoundlands...I couldn't handle a Newfie pup and they never go to shelters.
anyway nothing could replace Rums ever.

How old is he now?

Alex just woke me up from a three hour nap. Eeek! I didn't mean to sleep so long. He said "I'm sorry to wake you up mom, but when are we eating dinner?". Whoops. Luckily I already had something ready for the oven so I just popped it in. Hubby is still fast asleep on the other end of the couch.

I cleaned a good bit today so the kids and hubby will hopefully take the list on the counter as a hint to do the rest while I'm at work tomorrow. Ha! What am I thinking? I better tell them to do it.

Its 7:30 and still 90 here. Bleh.

It's still hot and humid here. I heard lots of thunder a while ago, but we didn't get any rain.

I think Ruger knows the littlt, tiny frogs come out at night. He finds one every time but I won't let him catch it. He rings that dang bell every ten minutes just to chase frogs.

Simon barks at the back door every 10 minutes. We have toads around here and this year they seem to like to hang out on the back deck at night.

My truck right now has those suicide doors. I hate them.

I agree. We had an F250 with doors like that. I also hated it. We traded it in and got an expedition. I love it, so much room, and with the back seats down we can still haul a lot.
