My vote is for Chihuahua, I love mine! :) Whatever you do , don't get a Jack Russell - a friend has one and they get into stuff when they are mad you left them at home, and have WAYYYY too much energy!

Or several little sweaters, some Tshirts, maybe some boots...
I was about to like that. Until the shirts and boots comment.

But yes, Jack Russells have a LOT of energy. They are very smart too.

Our JR and Rat terriers weren't mean. but depends on bringing up. There's a lot of both in my area Amish always have them. I personally wont get one from them though. JR are deff smart. Friends of ours has one he'll go to the living room and cry till you go in and sit with him. Spoiled rotten.:lol:

Please consider a Pom.Ricky is the most loving dog I have ever had.He likes to play but he likes to sit beside me on the couch with his head in my lap. He's really friendly...not nippy..Male poms shed less too.Believe it or not their fur is no big deal.I brush hm once a week.Bathe him and clip toenails once a month. It takes 20 minutes.I just wish I would have discovered this breed while I was young.I'd have a house full of them.

Would depend if you want one that needs grooming or not. I'm leaning to-wards for retirement either Fox or Rat terrier or maybe Chihuahua. There are a lot of the toy breeds.

Pugs are adorable but they are a Veterinarians dream, They have respiratory problems. They can be expensive to care for but they are very nice.

I don't think she would want one that requires a lot of grooming but would something like a chihuahuas like the PA weather? I'll have to look at pugs for more info.

I'm so jealous...
Howdy folks! Just got back in from the beach. Air temps around 85, water temps around 80, decent breeze and nothing but sunshine!!!

We went to the grrrrrr store this morning. We needed to get everything we needed for dinner tomorrow. And beer. Had to have beer. Mrs E has fussed at me. She thought I was going to get a 12 pack. I got 24. :D

I have held true to what I told her I would be doing today. Nothing but beach and beer. And so far, thats all Ive had to drink today, and Im slightly sunburned already.

We surprised Kat today. We knew that one of her best friends was going to be at Myrtle Beach this weekend (we're at North Myrtle). And we told her parents how to get to us and they stopped by for a couple of hours while we were on the beach. Her reaction was priceless.

Now, Mrs E and my stepmom are out shopping, and my dad is out on the beach with his metal detector. My brother and I are sitting in the condo with all of the kids.

Dinner is being prepared at the moment. Pot roast, taters, green beans, fresh corn, garden maters, and biscuits. With a side of beer, of course!

It is an AWESOME weekend in the making!! I hate that no one else seems to be expecting one this good. Just not enough to stop enjoying it. ;)

:pop:
I'll be beside PD on the front row!

After she's done? You just have no sense of fun and adventure, do you?

And my Saturday has been PERFECT!!!

I was going to say something... But I wont. IMO, dogs shouldnt wear sweaters or clothes. The exception being extreme climates. But, opinions are like....(as Morgan said) armpits.

HA!

They are except my next door neighbor got one from the pound. He's a great dog.He comes to visit if we are out and wags his tail like he missed us so much..But the ones I've come across in Agility scare me..I wouldn't want one.
My friend's JR is also very snappy. I'm not sure if they are all like that, but I keep my distance from him. :(

The Amish usually run the puppy mills.'m sure it's just business to them but I would never buy a pup from them.I've been to their farms and the dogs are not cared for they are just a commodity like corn or beans.I'd either do a hobby breeder that knows a little bit about the breed they are selling or a home breeder. At least the mother dog has been cared for.Or go to the shelter.Nothing cuter than a pound puppy...

Hum, I would really like to get her a puppy but don't know what breed to get. She thought our last dog, a beagle, would pull too hard on the leash when she went for a walk. But he was SO loving to her in every way. Her best friend. I need to find one that does not require too much exercise but likes all the attention she would give too it.

Ditto what Stretchy said about the puppy mills/freaky folks. There are enough pups at the shelters and underfoot in private homes.

Mr. V said he'll be the camera man for Stretchy's frolic in the leaves.

Victor did not notice the turtle spitting, he was too busy in the sand pile that he found. I did get pics, downloading in a bit.

Love the site! Simple is better. Any time I run into a busy site with too many colors or flashy things I close the window before it gives me a headache.
