I'm hopelessly behind, so I know I'm missing stuff.

Tiff...good priorities. If she good with Alex, that's the important part. You did YOUR part by raising He11 to get her there. She doesn't have to like you, she has to be there for Alex. On Morgan's behalf, I'd like to apologize for all of us who knew damned well it was wrong to bully other kids and didn't do enough about it. I stood up for some, but not hard enough or often enough. As I've grown older I've wondered why and I try to make up for it in my adult life.

FV, try: 1) rebooting the computer 2) Going to the manufacturer's web site and updating the driver before you conclude it's dead.

WB, good to see you!

I miss Sallie too. :(

Hi Rick, good to see you!

I restarted the printer and it is working properly now. Thank heavens, it's the big label printer.

I was one of the picked on kids. So I empathize with Morgan. I was really scrawny, and my Mother dressed me funny.

And back to the cauldron *poof*

I was tall and skinny with glasses and my mom dressed me funny. Mean people suck.

Can't like it, for either of you. And they do suck. Sonny was super skinny with glasses. I did not dress him funny. The other kids started picking on him, but found out really quickly that looks can be deceiving. Biker/Semi-pro boxer for a Dad= dorky looking kid that can fight.

I'm done mixing and done cleaning! Mr. V is getting the shipping done, then we are out of here! This morning I took a few pics of the baby chicks, but my camera batteries were dying. If they turned out I will post them when I get home. The Spud and Mo chicks are sporting cool mohawks, and the cottonballs are getting super fluffy. Not all over, just here and there.

CHeck for driver updates just for S&G's.... And welcome home!

Yes...I stood up for the picked-on kids sometimes, but not often enough or hard enough. I couldn't bring myself to join in the bullying...it just didn't feel right. Oddly enough as I've grown older, I think back and realize I should have drawn harder lines. I grew more courageous as I matured. See below for some of the credit.

I got picked on briefly when I was younger. My dad was a hell of a scrapper, and believed you better like who you see while you're shaving. First time I got the **** kicked out of me by four of the neighbor kids we started boxing lessons. He taught me the best lesson I ever learned in my whole life. You don't have to win...to win. Make 'em pay enough and they will leave you alone, and always stay on the right side of a fight. I've kept that my whole life. Once I stopped being afraid of defeat, I was a lot more secure. I tried hard to teach that to my boys. Older one learned it very well, and I'm proud of him. He is willing to die on the right hills. The younger one...jury is still out.

I would have traded. I spent more time picking my books up of the stairs, halls, etc., than actually being in class.

I'm gonna repeat what I said to Tiff: And look how you turned out! You have a whole mess of us eating out of your hand (vaping out of your hand?). Just goes to show what ya can do with witch-doctor boom-shatta-whatever-that-is. :D

And look how you turned out! Just goes to show, huh? :)

I came out of my shell when I had kids and had to start standing up for their rights and make sure they got what they needed. It's bled over to who I am a bit at times. I still don't like large groups of people and I hate parties. Put me in a room full of people at a party and I end up in the far corner trying to hide. Put me in a room full of people at the school IEP meeting and I take the seat at the head of the table.

Thanks Rick!
Sonny has a soft heart and always defends the underdog. I really like that about him. We'd like to take some credit, but I think it's just his nature. I laugh that he has a look that could kill, which sometimes prevents situations from escalating. We call it the "burning eye of death" and he says he inherited it from me.
Your Dad was right, and you taught your boys right too. We do the best we can, then turn them loose to be who they are meant to be.

Mornin' all. Again. I was about to say "unfortunately", but in reality, it beats the alternative.

I was the fat dorky kid who was dressed in Goodwill specials and hand me downs with long hair because there was just not enough money for regular hair cuts. I was picked on a lot, but never physically. I think part of that was the fact that I would readily get into a fight when I saw someone WAS getting physically picked on. No, I didnt win any of them, but after reading what Rick's dad taught him, I guess you could say I won all of them. It all worked out in the end though. I walked into Subway a few years back to get me some lunch. And lo and behold... one of the guys that picked on me (and others) the most.... the same guy that had whooped my .... for sticking up for someone else... was working there. Not management. Making my sandwich. And he looked horrible. Overweight and he looked like he was on the backside of a five day bender. I almost felt sorry for him. Almost. ;)

The eval yesterday went about as well as I expected. The two self eval grades that were reduced were a topic I brought up. And both were explained to me WHY they were knocked down. One, almost made sense, so I let it go. The other, I still dont get. But, it wont matter anyway. The Douche Canoe refuses to give out "Exceeds" in anything and your lucky to see a "Fully Meets". The way he sees it, youre just doing your job.

Our first game yesterday went as well as I expected, but no where near what I hoped for. Final score was 3-20. We beat ourselves up on defense more than the other team beat us. If my defense and been able to finsh plays, it would have been a LOT closer game, even if it wouldnt have been a win. My first baseman, who did an EXCEPTIONAL job in practice, let her nerves affect her. I think she'll do really well once she can relax a bit. But my other biggest issue was with my backup pitcher who I had at shortstop. She's a darned good player, but seemed like she didnt want to be on the field last night. I dont know if its because she was mad she wasnt pitching, or if there was something else going on, but she was terrible last night. She didnt make a single catch. Every groundball looked like she was trying to showboat it with one hand (something that Ive been trying to fix for two years with her) and the ball would pop out of her glove, and then when she DID make a decent stop, she would either try to run to the base herself instead of letting her second baseman make the play, or throw to first base with a nasty throw that no one could catch. We've got our work cut out for us next practice.

I had more to talk about, but I gotta get running. Our HVAC vendors are onsite for the tenth workday in a row, and they are still messing crap up. Right now, there is an alarm going off because the went into the building after I told them not to... duma$$es...

I'll check back in when I can. Y'all have a good day.
