I would say "great minds" or something like that. But we both know my mind isnt what most people would call "great".
What part of the lint thingy did you clean? Just the screen, or the exhaust vent? If you havent cleaned the vent, thats what you should try next. Pull the dryer out, disconnect the vent hose (its the only other thing stuck to the dryer other than the power cord). Unplug the power cord and pull it the rest of the way out. Then marvel at the size and shapes of the herd of dust bunnies and lint balls that you didnt realize could exist in nature like that. Then you can get creative. They make $40 dryer vent cleaners that hook to a drill that work really well, but if your exaust vent feeds straight to the wall, all you need is an unused toilet brush. I mean... you COULD use a used one, but.....ew... After you carefully run the brush through the vent while turning the brush, carefully shove a vaccum hose into the vent to remove everything youve dislodged. Then, go to where the vent comes out of the house (assuming you can reach it), and knock off as much of the lint/fuzzy concrete as you can. Use the brush into the exhaust of the dryer itself too, and vaccum that out as best as you can. You may be suprised at how much crap will blow out. Once you think your done, check everything one more time to make sure that whatever blows out didnt get caught up in the hoses, and reconnect everything.
Or make hubby do it.
I take offence to that accusation.
Thanks James. I think I'll make hubby do it, which means I'll end up doing it next week.
