This country is awesome....
So, the big news on the town here is that Obama was going to make his speech for the DNC this evening. Normally, I would just ignore all of this, but there has been a change in venue that has many MANY people upset. The speech was going to be given at Bank of America Stadium, aka Panthers Stadium. But due to "weather" concerns, he will be giving the speech from Time Warner Cable Arena, aka Bobcats Arena. What makes this such a big deal, is that the Arena holds about 60k less people than the stadium. There were people waiting in line for several hours, a few of them for a couple of days, to get tickets to this. But, now that its moved to a location thats MUCH smaller, there is only enough room for the delegates and the media. Thats right, NO ONE else will be able to go see our nation's president speak because of the chance of rain.
