Wow that must be a big a Mcave. But a great idea.

If it's a McCave, it should be at MY house!

Ok, Im signing off for the day. Ive got a pile of work to finish up before I head to this evenings softball game.

Yall have a good day, good evening, and good night!

Hope the girls kick butts in the game, James!

I have one that you can borrow. It has a few moth holes but it's still O.K. to wear.Do you want the hat too?

Are they G-rated moth holes, or what?

Holy crap, what a long day. I've worked every day for the past 12 days. At least I think 12. Maybe not. Point is, I haven't had time to come by much. How's everyone? James, how was Disney World? Tiff, how was (is?) your vaca?

Can someone catch me up with some Cliff's Notes?

I just got a shower, finally. The dogs are healthy. Dr. Young actually said they're the healthiest dog he's seen in about a month. Seems everyone's dogs are overweight. :( That's soooo bad for their joints. And that's not the only issue it presents.

Lui is 55#s and Loki is 60#. Loki was making friends with all of the staff. Everyone always absolutely loves him. Lui on the other hand is very standoffish and stays by me. Unless someone presents a treat for him. He'll cautiously get it and come right back to me.

I had my S&W M&P Shield on me today with a nice plaid button up and jeans. If I gain 5 pounds or grew 2 or 3 inches the shirt would be too small. The shirt must have ridden up while I was sitting and exposed the grip. Dr. Young totally caught me. Then he lifted his scrubs to show a Glock 26. It was pretty funny and we had a laugh. Then we talked about guns. He has a real HK MP5-SD 10mm (!) that isn't working right. I'm picking it up tomorrow for him. Should be fun.

Ugh! Swiss K31, perfect finish, nice stock, ALL matching numbers. And $350 is what they go for in 'ok' condition with non matching numbers. If it's not over $450 by auction end I'm buying it. I freaking LOVE Swiss rifles, K31 especially.

Such a gorgeous rifle and the straight pull bolt is freaking awesome to work.

Swiss K31 K-31 rifle 1957 mfg, Beech matching : Curios & Relics at GunBroker.com

20 Hours, 28 Minutes + 15 minute rule to go at $365.00 with 8 bids.
I don't think I'll get lucky this time. I do know of another source with some. I also have a lead on a US Model Springfield 1903A3 100% professionally refurbished by the Gibbs Rifle Company using new Green Mountain fluted 4-Groove Barrels and beautiful walnut replica "C" stocks, with either a Remington or Smith Corona receiver. In other words, it's a perfectly restored Springfield 1903A3. It's a piece of American firearm history more so than pretty much any other U.S. military rifle. Possibly any other military rifle. I'm trying to think of one but can't. Enfield, but those are a dime a dozen.

And I can get it for $999! Which is a steal. An acquaintance has the exact rifle. He wouldn't take a custom built AR-10 (.308 AR), a fully custom1911 that I had over 50 hours in to plus $1k. So I think even if the Swiss K31 does stay under my max, I'm going to get the Springfield. It's a serious investment. It'll appreciate like crazy. The K31 will also appreciate, like almost all firearms (they get more and more expensive yearly. Even used if they're well taken care of).

Alright, time for bed. Goodnight.

Hey Adam. My vacation was fine. Nothing exciting. I was ready to come home. Thanks for asking.

Good morning. It's supposed to be another busy day at work today. I've got 2 goldendoodles & a few small dogs on the schedule. All I know is that the other groomer better show up today! I'm getting tired of picking up her slack. Since she's the owners daughter I don't expect anything to be done about it though. Have a good day posse.

Mornin'.

Softball game was a roller coaster. We were behind for the first two innings, and at our last at bat, we took the lead. The game shouldve ended after the third inning, but the ump said play one more. Our pitcher was too tired to throw any more, so I changed her out and put Kathryn in. She did ok. Then it was downhill. Terrible mistakes in fielding. Me and the other coaches screaming THROW IT!!! THIRD THIRD THIRD... only to see the ball then thrown BADLY to first, allowing two more runners to score. While they were chasing that bad throw, my 3rd baseman came off the base to cover home, short stop didnt come up to cover third, short stop didnt cover third.... guess where the runner was heading. Tempers flared among the girls so bad I had to call the whole defense to the mound to try to calm them down.

At our REAL last at bat, we were close enough to win.... until the girls lost their freakin' heads. Apparently the bad defense from the top of the inning shook them up. Their pitcher was hard pressed to throw anything near a strike zone. Several times, we reemphasized the importance of looking at the third base coach for their signal. Then I reminded them, repeatedly, which signal meant to not swing. If their pitcher was going to walk all 8 of my allowed batters, then damn it, I was going to let her. However, I had three girls that decided that they would rather swing at bad pitches than pay attention to the coaches. We ended up losing. I dont know what the final score was though. I was so frustrated by the end of the night, I never went back to look at our scorebook.

I must say I did enjoy my massive bowl (Mrs E calls it my trough) of ice cream before bed though.

James, how was Disney World?

Disney was pretty good. The missus was still sick though, and she and I stayed in the condo Tuesday while my dad and stepmom took the kids to animal kingdom. I got a tattoo at a flea market for half the price of what it wouldve cost here in Charlotte. And the drive home was ......ed. What shouldve been a 6 hour drive took 10 hours. But all in all, the kids had a great time.

Glad too hear the pups are healthy!

Thats funny your vet caught you carrying!

Thought I'd share what I've spent the last 1.5 hours on. I found a couple of twigs and a leaf. Seriously, I did. Notice the hair is in one piece because of the matting. And the feet are encrusted with at least 2 months of mud.

Yikes! How do people let their dogs get that bad?

I'd be there if I could Tiff. The trees here have icicles. brrrrrr.....

The owner wanted me to brush it out. I almost laughed. She should have brought it 6 months ago if that's what she wanted.

Our winter was mild but I have a feeling the summer is going to be sweltering.

Quick vape break then back to work.
