I've noticed that when I chain vape with an rba that the juice that runs back down the wick does seems to get pretty dark. I thought it was just me, as I am a crazed chain vaper. I now rotate my rba's so that none are used to the point of extreme heat on the coils.
And I do use carto tanks as well.

You must be right. I think its mental w me also. I see that dark color and i think its tasting a lil different lol..

I got my new laptop today. Now I get all the fun of migrating all my software. Blecch. On the other hand, I will have a new laptop when it's all done. The good news is that I love the laptop so far.
My eyes are crossing, time for me to call it a day.

Morning yes it is the heat in the RBAs. Cartos filler seams to filter it. Just for fun pull the filler out of a spent carto. You'd be surprised how dark it has gotten.

Good choice. Love my Toshiba been holding up well for 5 yrs now. I also love my HPs I have one of them still going strong and its been in use 12 yrs.
Between work laptops and personal laptop I've used about every brand there is. I'll take Toshibas every time. I do have to get used to this new keyboard though. Ack! As if my own typos weren't enough.

I read that the oxidation on the wick will cause the juice to go dark.
