It's a good thing the snow kept the customers down today. We had no credit/debit functions, and anytime we entered a zip code or a street address, the system would lock up for like 5 minutes. :( It was agonizingly slow! And on top of that, when I went to close out at the end of the day, the system refused to let me get my cash drawer out. I had to sit there for about 45 minutes while someone called the "help line" to figure out how to get it to open up.

Not a good postie day. :(

BUT... when I got home, there was a package waiting for me!! :) I got new slippers!! And they are SOOOOO comfy! :) That almost makes up for the rest of the day.

I can't like that Bamrz, though I do like the new slippers part! Our carrier wasn't happy, she had to hand write all package deliveries. Their hand helds all were down. What the heck???

Thanks Tiff. It stinks that she told me that basically we are not responsible pet owners, therefore not eligible to adopt. I cracked up when she ended her letter with: "Thank you for choosing to adopt, not shop!"

Don't feel bad FV, we were put on the "black list" with the Hawaii SPCA. :glare: We adopted a dog (that was apparently so severely neglected that they misjudged her age by 3 years) and tried for over 2 months to get her house trained with no luck. Whenever you said a firm "No!", she would roll onto her back and pee herself. :( When we returned her, they commented that WE must have abused her. :(

Good morning. No appointments at work today so I'm staying home and sewing and making candle tarts. I have the wax melting now and already got a head start on the sewing. It takes a while to get the wax done. I have to get it to 185* before I can add scent and color. Then cool it down to 140* before I can pour it into the containers. I'm going to try to do three batches done today and finish the sewing. We'll see. I need to run to town in a bit too to pick up meds. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Good morning and Happy New Year everyone!

Sorry for not being around for so long. New Years Eve was a crazy fun filled night of taking my wife's family's money playing poker, drinking too much, and eating too much. We were up until 4:30am. Then we spent the rest of the day over there playing pool and a couple of other board games.

Do y'all remember me saying anything about our leaky basement? And the mold it causes? Since it needs roughly $60k in repairs, $30k for the structrual repairs and another $30k for the mold remediation, we are pretty much stuck. We will never be able to sell at a price any where close to breaking even. Well, we've spent the last week researching a few options, and have come up with one that will get us out of the house. If we play our cards right, and we are smart about it, AND timing works out, we'll be able to get out of the house, save up enough money to get a new house in a few years, and will be able to keep the kids in the same school district (which is one of the biggest reasons we moved to Clover in the first place). Its not going to be an easy road, but we really think this is the best road to take in the long run.

We just found out Monday that Douche Canoe got the position for Regional Director. They are looking at management level positions right now to see who will be staying.

In a few weeks, they'll start looking at the low level positions. ie. My position and the field techs.

But for now, it's still business as usual. Still sifting through incoming equipment and processing outbound returns. Fun times.

Hope everyone's doing good.

Hi James! Hope the house thing works out and that nothing happens to your job.

I'm done with tarts and sewing neck heat pad wraps. Those are selling pretty good. Something finally making me some profit. I'm burning a Dragon's Blood scented tart right now and it has my house smelling really good.

Now to figure out what to do with the rest of the day.
