When the atomizers began to taper off and the batteries began to act flakey after only 3 weeks I began to look for a way to supply longer more dependable power under manual control.

Been smoking for 54 years, primarily a pipe for the last two. Couldn't afford a 601 so I took an 801 battery end, a momentary contact pushbutton switch, 7.2 volt ni-cad battery packs from RC racing days and my favorite old corncob pipe and came up with a kluge. Though it is not pretty, it works and keeps me happily vapeing.

One connector on each side for 24 hours of 3.6 volt vapeing and one connector on the end for recharge in 15 minutes.

Dripping with a manual pipe is just like packing a pipe and keeping it lit.

As my loving wife says; "Now I don't have to worry about dying in a burning bed."

Thanks for the reply TBoB. Now if I can just learn how to get consistant performance from the atomizers.

When I have one 'in the groove' it's great, but I seem to go from too lean to flooded, to complete clean out, to start all over.

Get nothing at all from cartridges any more. Just drip and puff it dry. Still cheaper than tobacco though.

I sure would like to see some closeups of the connectors,
Again...Great Mod.

Haven't had a chance to take pictures. They are Molex 19-09-1029 or 19-09-2029 polarized connectors rated for 10 amps peak from RC car parts box of 20 years ago. If I had to choose new parts I'd go with something a little less industrial.

Thanks for the comments an compliments everyone.

I have since added an ac adapter for vaping at the computer. It is a 4.5v 1600ma RadShack I picked up for $3.50. My PC tower is on wheels beside my office chair. I rest my right arm on it while working or surfing. Noticed an extra sensation while computing with the right hand and vaping with the left. Got a sharp stinging or tingling feeling on my lips when I pushed the manual button. Just checked with my Fluke meter and there is a 13 Vac potentiol between the atomizer and PC chassis is static condition and 46Vac potential when I push the button and vape. Think I better find a way to better ground the ac adapter or insulate myself from the PC.

Any Ideas?

Yeah Hocker.
#1-Get your wife's rubber gloves, you know the kind she washes dishes with, and wear them, or #2- next time the Dr. checks your prostate get him to give you the rubber gloves he uses and wear those.
You think we can't solve a problem ?

The voltage difference could be a number of things, all grounding related. It could be a bad or corroded ground in the wall socket, it could be a short in the ac adapter causing AC to be present on the output. It could be as simple as turning the plug to the wall 180 to reverse the neutral and 'hot' leads. If you can determine which component is 'hot' by checking compared to a good ground connection you should be able to correct this.
Although it might not be too dangerous, I would not let this continue. I HATE getting shocked.
