I sometimes wonder if there isn't a direct correlation between the attractiveness of a newbie member's chosen pic and the number of "Hello's & welcome's" they receive. Just a notion I had, what do you think?

Yes, I've noticed that any new member with an obviously female name tends to get more responses. I suppose we're all (or at least almost all) a bunch of sexist pigs.

i need a nice female avi pic instead of this one, perhaps. But on topic for a rare and special change, i think there is an army of greeters that assail new members with pages upon pages of links and well-meaning advice, when a simple 'need anything, give us a shout' will do nicely.
