What are you talking about?

Why the confusion?

I found a merchant selling 25pc packs of Tenergy CR123a batteries (it is stated they are NOT rechargeable)and they are 1300mAh....the site states that they have a 10 year shelf life- my question is, can you still buy these to use in the Prodigy for a one-time use (in case of a ban when short on funds)?

The pack sells for $23.99, so I don't know if these will work, but might be good for ban emergencies.

I am truly sorry that I caused confusion, I have explained in a post on page 2 of this thread that I didn't mean a ban on batteries...it had been a long day, and my mind was still on REGULAR E-CIG batteries, thus the ban statement (possibly in the future). I had just received my Prodigy about 20 minutes before the post- and it hadn't "sunk in" yet that I was now using regular batteries.

I will post the link again here:

10 pcs Tenergy RCR123A 3.0V 900mAh Rechargeable Li-Ion Batteries

Again, I am sorry for the confusion.

Down the rabbit hole..
Thats funny I ordered 10 of the Tenergy 750 RCR123s (like the ones that came with the Prodigy) yesterday from All-Battery.com if you spend more than 25 dollars and enter a coupon code you get free shipping by the way, and they were in stock and have been shipped!! My order total was $29.40 for the 10-a couple of months ago I ordered and received 6 batteries and the charger plus a car charger for 26.99 free shipping-they are a good company to deal with.

These appear to be the same batteries Walrus uses in his Prodigy +plus a charger. He has reported 7 hours of constant vaping with them.
4x CR123A 3v CR123 CR Rechargeable Battery 3.0v+CHARGER - eBay (item 260421607398 end time Aug-31-09 07:51:07 PDT)

1000mAh, 4 of them plus charger for $11 (free shipping) - Boy, that sure is tempting!

However, I don't see the words: protected, LiFePO4, or even Li-ion. You say these appear to be the same. And how long has Walrus been using them?

I might be willing to risk eleven bucks, but I'm not willing to risk my Prodigy (my precious) or my face and hands, without some reassurance.

.................................................................................

Hope it is true. When I ordered my batteries/kit on July 18th, I received an email with a shipping invoice. It stated they were shipped, then at the end of the week I got an email saying they were out of stock. They did give me an option to get my money refunded, or wait a week. Well, I stated that i would wait.... guess what? I still have not recieved them!
I have emailed several times now, and every week they keep telling me "next week".
I emailed again yesterday morning, now I don't get a response.
I'll probably file a grievance through PayPal very soon if they do not reply today.

That's an important piece of information about a battery supplier that, I believe, a lot of Prodigers (i.e., those of us who are proud owners of the Prodigy) have been using.

trashling just mentioned in her Prodigy Tamer - Spacer Battery thread that she had ordered (and received) batteries a few weeks ago from Battery Junction. She didn't mention any problems associated with her order.

Anyone else have experience (good, bad or indifferent) with either of these (or any other) battery suppliers? I may need to order some more batts soon.

As for CR123a vs. RCR123a, I'm pretty sure the 'R' stands for Rechargeable.;)

Batteryjunction.com kicks A**. Iordered from them a few weeks ago( spare batteries for my chaep Joye510 PT) . The batteries were very high quality and the shipping was extraordinarily fast. I would not hesitate to order from them in the future.

Thanks, Antebellum, that's good to learn! I guess I'll put my order in now. And don't forget to use the coupon code for free shipping, Don. [I talk to myself, even online apparrently, not because I'm loopy (at least I don't think so), but as a memory jogger (I believe that's what this string tied on my finger means).]

Timing is all.
