My wife and I are going with a group of friends on Carnival Conquest out of Galveston on 1 MAY, and I plan on taking my vaping gear. My new eGo-T from PureSmoker is rocking. I love it. There's two more vapers in our group. We all went last year on Carnival Ecstasy and had no problems vaping anywhere - but we did use the common sense rule of not vaping in the dining room or buffet area. I am now 27 months smoke-free thanks to eCigs. 901, 801, 510, eGo and eGo-T.

My husband and I will be on the Conquest May 22nd (our first time out of Galveston). After his heart surgery last month he's totally switched over to the e-cig and I've been using mine for over 2 years. It makes cruising alot easier if you vape instead of smoke ~Linda~

5 more days...weeeee!!!!!!!!

:(. I'm so jealous. We've done AOS 5 times now, it's our favorite ship and gotta love all the ports. Are you doing the St. Kitts version of the intinerary? My daughters 16th b-day was on St. Kitts and I emailed the folks at cockleshell beach to have a cake in advance for her. We met some friends from australia to celebrate her birthday, it was such a great time.

It's late & we had an insanely long travel day..so short & sweet recap..I literally sucked on my ecig anywhere & everywhere..I didn't try & hide it or feel ashamed & not one person stopped me or even blinked, this included, airports, airplanes (I was discreet) dining areas (table mates were fine with it) shows..you name it, I used it! I really think projecting it as "water vapor" & not looking guilty matters! The locals at the different ports were utterly fascinated by it! I had to demonstrate for several people!

Thank goodness for my egos on that first day of the journey! Started w/ a 3 hour delay on first leg of the trip (plane needed some kind of battery), then got on board for second leg in D.C....major storms came through FIVE hours we were on that plane without moving, not counting travel time! My 2 egos held up from 8:30 am drop off to 3:30 am hotel delivery!

I think instead of banning cigarettes on cruise ships they should ban children - most are ill behaved anymore.

My thoughts exactly. Our last cruise was on the Carnival Pride when it still left out of California, 2007 I believe.. but we purposely went in September as we thought most children would be in school, well were we ever wrong and parents should at least TRY to keep their kids under control. I understand that kids will get unruly from time to time, but most were totally unsupervised and running everywhere, many just screaming and running.

Fewer children and more Chocolate Melting Cake, that would get my vote !

We were actually on the Norwegian Jewel 3 weeks ago and it was over-run with kids....more little, loud screaming kids than I ever saw on a cruise....and it wasn't even spring break!

I just got off the Carnival Paradise on Friday. I vaped everywhere except the main dining room. The most response I got was a couple of people asking me if it was an e cig. I said yes and that was the end of it.

I did run into another vaper. His wife spotted me as I had my cappuccino sitting by the windows on the Promenade deck and sent him over. He was using a SmokeTip that looked like an analog and had some issues at some of the bars....but I never did.

It was a great trip and I am off to plan the next one :D

Just got off the Conquest today and used the e-cig pretty much everywhere except the dining areas. We played blackjack and 3 card poker at non smoking tables with no problem (only one dealer told us we couldn't smoke at the table and we told her it wasn't smoke so no problem from then on). We didn't see any other vapers on this cruise. We also used the e-cigs at the Baltimore airport and it was so nice not having to go out thru security between flights to smoke!
