We are the proud parents of 3 southern flying squirrels. Absolutely amazing, active, sweet, nocturnal little animals. That squirrel is "Buddy". He fell out of our oak tree a few years ago and he was only about one month old. Google them. Have a fantastic time on your cruise. Let us know how it goes. I hope the caribbean calms down some. Been active down there in the past month. We sailed all around a hurricane in 1996 and it wasn't much fun. Travel safe.

Well, it's an adorable little animal!

Their are two threads on the Carnival boards. One about John Heald & e-ciggs. from yesterday. And another ? about e-ciggs from friday. We need to educate the non vapers.

I just posted on John's facebook page. John says they're discussing them now and are only banned from the main dining room on the Splendor

It would be fun to get on and discuss the different cruise lines and ships and the reactions to e-cigs. Handy information to have if some of the lines are less tolerant of e-cigs, etc. Anyone wanna start one?....I can't because we're a supplier....

I tried. Called it Cruise Ship Vapors. We wil see if it appears.

Is there any reason why we can't discuss the different cruise lines and reactions to ecigs right here on this thread? When I started this thread that was one of the intentions of it .. the title of it is "Cruise Ship Passengers and Ecigs", which implies it is for all cruise ship passengers, not just one line.

My thought was that eventually this thread would get buried but a vapers cruise chat forum would be easy to find

I LOVE cruises...I used to hit them every summer...sometimes back to back...first 7 nights Caribbean...then 7 nights Mexico...used to spend all year working to pay off the cruises I had planned in the summers...OH the good ole days...with the the boys. We used to make paper chain links (like the ones you did as a kid waiting for Christmas using red and green construction paper) and hang it on the wall to count down the days to the cruise! We'd sit there for hours, drink a ton of beer, and discuss the midnight buffets, the various ports of call, the beautiful strangers we'd be so privledged to meet...those hot humid nights on a lido deck kissing a stranger, lost in those amazing...amazing warm tradewinds in the dark. The sky that had to be a dream, because the stars and planets seems to light up heavens and the dark ocean like jewels strewn about by the gods. Exploring unknown islands, powder sugar white beaches in the hot sun all day to come back aboard to a pristine room, clean and fresh, then laying down on the bed next to those fancy little creatures made out of your washcloths...letting that AC cool your core back down as you took a nap so you could get up and shower, put on your styling clothes to get ready for another night at the clubs and casinos (and more lido deck). The Caribbean tan. The anything goes feeling because you are in "international waters".

Now if I could go back and do it again...but with a RoughStack and a 50ml of Backwoods juice. Are there words to describe? Excuse me while I wipe a tear.

After thinking about the consequences of something like that happening on a ship, I'm making doubly sure to bring lots of extra batteries and my PCC on our cruise this Sunday

Agreed! I'd been thinking about how much stuff I'd take on our next cruise and now I'm certain I'll take more fully charged batts then I'd originally thought. Better to have and not need than not have enough:vapor:

There are lots of cruise ship passengers who are smokers and so many of them would love to learn about the e-cig,

There seems to be a great opportunity for some enterprising soul. that is, getting a small booth to sell ecigs on board the actual cruise ship. Can it be no one has looked into this? I am not the enterprising type so I pass this suggestion on to others.

Hello Bobbye: Are you the same Bobbye that sailed on the Jewel back in June. If so a big hello.

Yes, same Bobbye! The Jewel cruise was great! I switched over to vaporing this past summer and love it. So glad to be off the analogs and breathing again. We're talking about another NCL cruise this summer out of NY -- time will tell.
