As I said, allowances should be made with any small vendor during the Holiday season as it relates to shipping time .. and BTW, the shipping is free at CCV .. I suspect some of the delay is also the blame of USPS as they are always slower during the Holidays as well ..

I'm not an advocate of any single vendor, however, I am an advocate of the great vendors that I don't want to see suffer from a bad rap due to one or two issues that may have even been out of their control .. and those that say "Our opinions are all valid" tend to defend the same group of vendors when anyone posts an issue about them ..

Point is, we tend to complain more than praise on any forum .. thus, the complaints have a louder voice .. and that needs to be countered with folks that have had a great experience .. of which the vast majority do ..

...not in defense of anyone...
...we have all become spoiled by the same day service offered by many vendors...especially large vendors with large staff and the latest and greatest in material handling capabilities...I am one of these folks...due to arthritis in my hips and lower back, I have mobility problems SO, if I don't havvta go to the store, I don't...this means, other than gas/groceries, I/we do all of my shopping online...this holiday season, we ordered stuff from China to Boston From NC & Fl to LA and Seattle...some of it was processed and shipped in a couple of day, some in a week, some took a month and from a large international vendor, awaiting an item, they won't have in stock until Feb...this highly thought of vendor, never contacted me, I hadda contact them to find this out...my point is, we have become spoiled by "next day service" and tend to get upset if we don't get our chicken with our change...I remember when ordering from an out of town/state/country came with the normal admonishment..."delivery in 4 to 6 WEEKS"...imjusayin........

I'm sure that the folks at CCV are fantastic people but the simple fact of the matter is that they are letting their business go downhill very quickly and they need to do something to turn it around. This is not "one or two issues that may have even been out of their control" and you can't blame the USPS when an order has been 'processing' since it was placed on 12/27/11. I can understand standing behind a business that has been good to you but you're starting to stretch reality a little bit here...

Now that's how it's done. Such a simple little notice, but it does a lot. Tells me the company is still operating and processing orders, tells me that it's going to be a few days, and saves me the hassle of having to send an email to find out the status of my order. (Thus removing the opportunity for an overwhelmed customer service rep to rub a customer the wrong way.)

Such a simple thing to do to keep your customers informed and happy.

That's all I'm sayin'.......

I agree and I don't see the rationale in not posting on the website that he's behind in orders for the following reasons:
Bad PR- 1 complaint outweighs 1 compliment in regards to PR.
Time spent by the vendor in answering emails when that time could be spent processing.
I did order some but am not in a rush for delivery and I guess that's the downside when a product is sold for cheaper than anyone else can sell it for.
Overall no complaints but not overly impressed.
