I got mine a week ago because I loved the look of the giant single coil deck. Its very heavy and there was some bad machining and burrs but I didn't think it was bad. I washed it built it juiced it and then went to Vape it and realized the juice flow control would not spin. Tore it down and finally realized there was a Burr in the press fitting of the assembly and there was no fixing it without breaking it 8(

Dang. So is the juice flow stuck open or closed?
I'd hate to deal with a return online.

My buddy just got a Griffin 25 off Amazon and something is wrong with it. The posts don't even match nor the screws.
The hex driver slipped first time on two screws.
I feel your pain.

Just showed up while I was at work today so Im waiting for it to dry off after its Dawn soak so still haven't used it yet. Still can't get the damn top cap apart so I don't know how Im gonna fill it if I can't.

I am a longtime user of the cthulhu v2 and i've had the v3 for a couple of weeks. it's a great atty, the juice capacity is small but it's super easy to refill, and never leaks. machining on mine is excellent. it's one of my favorite rta's already

Ive only had it for a day now, but the V2 I just got is seriously frustrating me. The airflow on it is exactly what I wanted, but jesus no matter how I wick it, its dry hit city. I WANT to like it cause you know, Cthulhu and all, but man the Elder Gods are really good at driving you insane, and it carries over to tanks named after them apparently.

Use rayon. You can wick any way you want with rayon and it will still wick.
You can stuff the juice holes tight on the Griffin...down to the bottom of the tank and it will still wick. It doesn't weep either. You need enough in there to make it squeak on the way through. Too little makes it tastes bad.
Go get some Kotex U's and try it out.

That sounds like an issue with the JFC. Make sure it's seated properly and turning.

Thats what Im starting to think, as Ive gone 'by the book' with the wicking (of course I finally get a V2 after all this time and now its own thread is closed and I can't ask questions there). Just made a new wick (AGAIN!!!) and trimmed it perfectly so most of it is sitting on the deck with just tiny bit going into the channels, maybe to the bottom of the ring if even that far down. Made sure the channels aren't blocked. Still has that lovely new cotton taste, but I actually just saw it spit out some bubbles finally after a couple of hits. I usually only see that if I block up the air holes and prime it. I just had a hell of a time putting it back together because the tank is full, so when I put the juice control back on and flip the deck over to put it back into the chimney, of course the JFC inner/outer ring always come lose from that tab and make it a pain to put back together haha. If you don't mind me derailing the V3 thread for a sec.. How do you put the JFC back together?? I looked up the 'manual' for it yesterday at Cthulhumods site and watched the video on putting the rings back on, and they say to make sure its 'wide open' before you put it on the tank. How much exactly is 'wide open'?? This is my first RTA in awhile (Ive been using a couple Derringers for over a year now), and my last tank, the Kayfun 4 was easy.. The juice control went from closed, to a point where it actually stopped when it was wide open. With the V2, I can keep opening the juice control and eventually the base comes off of it with the inner ring. Should there be a stopping point where its 'wide open' or does it just take some know-how not to unscrew it too far??

I have had mine for almost 2 Weeks and I have had constant problems with the juice flow control and also with my resistance jumping up and down.

First off when I screw my Atty down completely it is locking up the jfc one completely effectively making it umvapeable. The JFC was very loose from the moment I got it and there was some burrs from poor machining I am not sure if some burring has caught in the press fitting or what but after almost 2 hours messing with it I was going to toss it. Granted that was in the single coil deck.

So I decided to try the dual coil deck and lo and behold when I uses the dual the JFC started to spin again a little. So I quickly threw a 316l SS fused Clapton in it wicked it juiced it and grab the juice flow control and it moves a couple mm then sticks again. I also notice the build is reading a .06 hmmm it should have been between .28-.3

I'm having lots of problems 8(

Did a little digging on the V2 last night.. Apparently its the single coil deck that is the problem with the JFC. Sounds like they didn't solve the problem on the V3.. On the single coil deck, there is no room for movement of the JFC. When you put it on and screw the tank down, it sits completely flush with the tank and deck, so there is no way to move it up or down. But on the dual deck, when all is installed properly, it sits property between the two orings and works fine. On the single deck, I was turning the whole top part of the tank, exactly like the juice control works on a KF4, but after watching videos last night and a couple of Reddit posts, this isn't how its supposed to work, the ring should move independently from the tank and base. I still got tiny leaks and weeping, and occasionally, it would wobble around, and you can even unscrew the base from the ring if you go to far. I ended up just removing the inner ring last night and now the single deck is working fine. Who knows whats going to happen when this tank runs out and I have to top fill it though.. Might just give in and finally try the dual deck when that time comes.. 2+ years vaping and still haven't tried a dual build, but I kinda miss the slightly bigger vape my Derringer gives me, so maybe that will be the key to it..

Well crap, the JFC is still almost impossible on the dual deck too.. But I finally gave in and did my first dual build and the tanks working fine so theres that.. Just had to run out and actually go to a local shop and pick up a Sigelei Spark cause my Sigelei Mini's 30w just was not cutting it for the duals. I don't know how you guys do this, Im literally watching it suck my tank (and battery) down but Ive got the thing competing with my Derringer now at least.

I chug around 30ml a day...I need 2 sets of LG HG2s at work. Then the HE4s when I get home.
I only smoke 1-2.5mg.

Still beats cigarettes by a long shot.

Damn I better get some bigger bottles for storage then haha! Im normally on a single coil Derringer at like 18-19w. I make 60ml at a time and it'll last me about a week. Ive already gone through almost the whole Cthulhu tank since this morning. When I left the vape shop with the Spark, my battery was at 50%, just the vaping on the way home (its only like 5 miles from my house) killed 10% of the battery after pushing it up to 40w. Guess its time to buy a 4 bay charger!
