I have been a Cthulhu fan from the start, the V1&2 were both really good :)
I ordered a Hastur & thats when things went south for me :( very poorly designed leaked like crazy when top filled no juice control/ shut off, totally disappointed with it :(
Altho the huge single coil deck looks real appealing,I'm not interested in the V3 at all, a huge atty with only 4 mil capacity = Fail, these big coil atty's go thru juice like crazy @ 4 mills you will be filling it constantly :(
BTW there on sale at GB if anyone wants a deal on one. 28.44
Original Cthulhu V3 RTA Atomizer
Thanks steamer! If it wasn't gearbest I'd likely grab one. I do get a little nervous with 510 being the changepoint.

I got The V3 this last week. Flavor is decent. Not great, but it is acceptable for what this tank does. The build deck is HUGE. Crazy amount of airflow. I did have a stuck AFC ring when I got it, and it took considerable work to get it free. After that though, everything seems pretty smooth. I have only used the single coil in it so far with a fused 24 gauge core clapton. It fits this easily, and could go even bigger. I have this single coil going great at 65 watts. This does blow through juice. I went through 30 ml today without really trying.

I had myself hyped up for this thing and was pretty let down. It seems cheaply made. The first thing I noticed was a terrible whistle through the airflow when it's completely open. Closed off just barely it goes away. It also had a very loose drip tip, I used some spare O-rings from a Griffin 25 to get it to stay put. Then I noticed that the whole section from the AFC ring up has some play in it, so that when attached to a mod I can wiggle it. It seems like the whole bottom portion just wasn't press fitted very well, as the JFC and AFC rings are both very loose also. There's not enough space between the deck cap and the tank, so high VG juices don't wick very well, and when it gets low the juice pools up in the spaces between the juice ports so it can't be vaped completely dry, though that's more of a design flaw than a quality issue.

I love the look and the concept but it was poorly executed. If the deck were 19mm rather than 19.8, and the build quality were better it would probably be one of my favorite RTAs. As it stands I used it for two days and put it away.

I don't have any of those problems. It's build way better than the rest of my tanks and it wicks fine. There's bubbles at the bottom but they float up eventually.
People said that about the OG griffin too but I never got a dry hit.
I vape 4mg base sometimes which is 100% VG and it still wicks.

The drip tip is the only con for me.

You should contact Cthulhu.
They'll send you a base.

I just don't see why we all have the same tanks and mine works flawlessly.
The only thing different is wicking.

Well I took your advice and shot them an Email. They're sending a new base. I was actually surprised at how quickly they got back with me and were immediately willing to replace it. Hopefully the new one is solid, but either way I'm really impressed by their customer service. I was just gonna chalk it up as a loss, so thanks for the suggestion.

Glad to hear it. It really is a good tank but I know the wobble you're talking about. My wife's is rock solid but mine has a slight wobble but not bad enough to bother me. My Griffin does the same thing. That's why I hate JFC...it's another point of failure and it's wasted on me.

If you resolve the issue I'd like to hear about it.

Update:

It took about a month but the replacement base finally came in. It's much better than my original. No whistle, the AFC is tighter and it doesn't seep nearly as badly. The JFC ring is still slightly wobbly on the replacement but not quite as bad. All in all I'm really pleased with it, and my hat's off to Cthulhu for sending it.

On another note this whole deal renewed my interest in the tank, and I've been fiddling with a few builds in it the last couple of weeks. Build big enough and you can get some serious flavor out of this thing. As much metal as I have crammed in it right now I doubt I could get it to vape well outside of temp control, but it can be a serious performer depending on the setup.

On yet another note, I just realized why that avatar looks familiar. I go by Chokeslam elsewhere on the web. ;)

If you're into building, 22/32g clapton is a simple way to get a great vape in this thing. You only need 5/6 wraps to really fill the deck so the ramp up isn't bad.
People bash it for juice capacity all the time. It's a builders tank. As close to an RDA deck as you can get with a bottom coil. Hell, I've stuffed 12ply framed staples in this thing.

I love it for TC too. I put some 316l alien in it a while ago. Stellar.

I'm glad they got you sorted out. Even more so that you're happy with it and I was able to help.
