I would like to complain but for me at least the USPS has been the most reliable. I put in a big order with Mt Baker last Sunday, showed in their system that it was shipped on Monday, then Thursday, 2200 miles away it was in my mailbox at 1:38pm. Had I selected UPS or FedEx it would have likely been Friday or the next Monday when they launched it from their truck in the general direction of my house.

Heh. Yea.... my current experience with them:

I ordered from an online store that is exactly 30 miles from my doorstep.

So, I've been waiting on some vape mail. It was sent USPS first class, which usually gets to me in three business days from anywhere in the states. I live in California, this was coming from Louisiana, a place I've ordered from many times in the past. After 5 days, it gets two towns away from me. No big deal. Another 5 days, and it arrives in Sacramento, one town away from me. Why did it take them so long to go one town over? Who knows. So, I'm waiting 4 more days, I check the tracking and where is it? Providence, Rhode Island! You were so close for so long! Now you're 3000 miles away! This is the worst routing error I've experienced with USPS as of yet.

I too have had problems with UPS, and their costs are quite staggering compared to priority mail.

Generally receive packages within the two-three day limit they claim, if the product is ordered early in the day prior to they're shipments going out.

Am I the only one that was suppose to get a package today but got a notice instead, the mail never came today I am guessing because of the blizzard hitting here in New Jersey but why not say its rescheduled for shipment, it says that the mailman couldnt find a safe spot to leave the package which is because we never got the mail. Anyone have an idea why that maybe? I had tons of ejuice suppose to be arriving today but it didnt

If you really want to get frustrated, you should be me. I live about 75 miles south of Buffalo, NY - just across the border into PA. People 3 miles north of me typically get first class mail from Buffalo on the next day. Because I am in another state, mail from Buffalo takes 2-3 days to be delivered to me. The typical route is Buffalo -> Rochester -> Pittsburgh -> my local post office. To make things worse, the timing of this route seems to be off by just a couple of hours. The mail from Buffalo seems to arrive in Rochester just before the mail is sent to Pittsburgh, so there isn't enough time to process it. It sits there until the next night. Then, about 75% of the time, the mail arrives in Pittsburgh an hour or so too late to be processed, sitting there for another day. Then, it finally makes it to my local post office just in time to be processed and placed into that day's delivery. It amazes me that I can get vape mail from the other side of the country just as quickly as I can from 75 miles to the north.

Yeah they suck. Nothing to do with vape Mail, but I'm an Amazon Prime member and Amazon offers Sunday delivery through the USPS which i'm sure they pay for. Well a few months back anytime I was supposed to have a Sunday delivery I always got an email saying my package was undeliverable for various BS reasons. The carrier just wasn't making the deliveries and lying saying either no one was home or the address didn't exist. I finally got fed up and spoke to an Amazon rep and they said they would investigate it. It hasn't happened since. They need to be 100 percent privatized so they can compete with Fedex and UPS or else in 10 years they won't exist.

If you want to talk about screw ups, FedEx is the king. Also, the USPS is essentially privatized. They use 0 tax dollars. They operate 100% from their own revenue. Additionally, there isn't a high paid CEO sitting in an office somewhere smoking Cuban cigars using the profits of the company to be comfortable. Even UPS has let me down once. A few years ago at Christmas time, they left a package sitting in a distribution center for over a week.

The USPS can and does compete with the private sector — and it collaborates with it, too. UPS and FedEx pay the Postal Service to deliver more than 470 million of their ground packages to residences, taking advantage of the Postal Service’s expansive delivery network. The USPS pays UPS and FedEx for air transportation, taking advantage of their comprehensive air networks.

Good points. I didn't know all that. But how are they possibly struggling financially then? Is it because of bloated pensions?

Anybody ever get a notice that they have a USPS "postage due" item? We used to get them regularly. How can you transport an item to its destination and then proclaim there is not enough postage to send it to its destination?

Not to mention a letter making it from the coast to the correct post office box in Nebraska in a window envelope with absolutely nothing appearing in that window.

A magazine or Netflix movie seeming to take an extra day or two to arrive? We proclaim "they are not done reading/watching it yet."

Trust or defend USPS? NEVER!

Get a load of this - apparently USPS refers to this as a mail loop:

This was an international package that I mailed out at the end of August. For some reason it came back to the country at the end of October and has been with USPS since then. I've requested that it be returned to sender so I can try to send it out via DHL as I no longer trust USPS. I submitted a Mail Recover Center Search Request form in December when there were no movement in tracking. For some reason tracking information was reset at the beginning of the year so you don't see my package's journey before then. I've gone to my local post office three times and I've called USPS Customer Support about a dozen times. I've opened four cases with them and they keep closing them claiming that they've called me yet the package is still going back and forth. I've just recently opened an issue with Customer Affairs, but I don't have any more confidence that they'll be able to sort this out. Everyone that I talk to at USPS just tells me to wait and that it should be delivered to me soon - that excuse gets old and lame after about three months.

^ I believe the bar has been set. This sounds like an absolute mess.
