(EDITED) Those polycone caps were sure expensive! $10 shipping for $2 worth of caps?

They better be here by tomorrow!

The cheapest I found was $8 for the caps and $13 to ship to Canada ... mine took 3 weeks to arrive

Then, should the Nude Armor series be considered a gimmick?
If you're lazy, like me, no. Almost all of my nic is Armor V1 in 120ml bottles. Why? Because I receive it "freezer ready" that way; no re-bottling required. I don't mind paying extra for that convenience, especially after having done blind testing with 10 or so members here about a year ago, where we determined that NN was the cleanest of the four "premium" nics we tried.

Moreover, my mixing technique is much like puffon's. I mix down an entire 120ml bottle of 100mg/ml base into 800 ml of the 15 mg/ml base I vape. This gets re-bottled and put back in the freezer and lasts me about 4 months, with only one of the bottles out at room temperature at any given time.

Personally, I would not cut it prior to long-term storage. I see no point in it. Note: I don't consider a year or less to be "long term".

Just to formally ask - and this seems the place - what about those of us that do not have the option of a dedicated freezer to store nic? I live in an RV. Space is limited but I do have a pantry that I am storing flavors/DIY and a small 120ml of 100mg nic in at the moment. I want to buy larger quantities of nic but again, I have only this "cool dark" place to store in. I'm not very concerned with the nic degrading a bit and safety is no issue as well. So I guess my question is - will the nic be ok if left under these conditions? The only thing I do know is the 120ml nic has darkened since last Sept when I bought it but using it in my base - I can tell no difference in taste. It's in PG solution. If I am to keep my nic stored in this way, would I benefit by using VG nic instead of PG nic?

I think your limit would be 6 - 9 months. I think VG may store just slightly longer maybe up to a year. But it all depends on hot and cold temperature veriations an RV is not the most temperature stable enviorment. I've had NIC turn in as little as 3 months. 120ml's of NIC is not very big if you have any room in the freezer at all it would benefit greatly to store it there or at least in the refrigerator.

I've got a question... nic stored in the freezer...in glass...is there any advantage/disadvantage to the pg/vg ratio? Ie would it be better to have all vg, all pg or 50/50? Is one more stable for long term storage?
Kurt has stated in the past that he thinks VG may have an advantage due to its higher viscosity slowing down the rate of oxidation reactions. I was buying PG before I read that and then switched to VG. I do not intend to throw the PG nic away. In fact, I just mixed down some 2+ year old PG nic (NN V1). It's got no color at all and smells very clean.

Sorry about the expletives guys. I was getting a little excited and needed a time out.

Got the caps in 3 days from True Essence; 28-400s for the 500ml bottles, 24-400s for the 125mls, and 18-400s for the 60mls. All fit perfectly.

Filled the bottles with the full stength 100mg and stuck them in the freezer. Made some 15mg 60/40 Maxx-Blend and some 18mg 70/30 unflavored using the pocket scale I ordered and e-Liquid Calculator.

I'll be ordering some more tobacco, Crunch Berries and some milk flavorings this week.

Thanks everyone for all the help!

Probably, and the thicker the better. But its hard to say since there is little multi-year data on room temp storage. I think Danny is right, depending on ambient temps, you could get several months without noticing a difference, and a bit of oxidation may or may not be a problem for you. I get months of almost no change in glass.

There are vacuum-sealed containers that could be used, depending on your space limitations, to hold glass bottles. There are also oxygen scavenging packets, similar to drying packets in vitamin jars, that could be tossed in before sealing. I was considering them when I first came up with the whole glass/freezer thing 6 years ago. Not needed if you freeze.

Something like this: Clear Weathertight Trunk

O-Busters® Oxygen Absorbers - AGM Container

I don't know how long the nic will last, and you have to think about the volume of the container to decide how much O2 absorption you need. But if you put glass bottle in this, and use these packets, you should be able to extend the time considerably. I do not know how long, or how well, you'll have to dig around to get that info. I doubt anyone is doing this with nic currently, or if they are, have long-term data.
