So, I got the cotton and made a wick. Well, all I can think of is this. The first part is my vaping before with the Reonauts looking on. Then super_X_drifter comes and hits the switch that I missed (with the Reomizer 2 Rebuild Tutorial)....

That clip is funny as hell! How did I ever miss that movie? It was that bad huh? Chevy was going crazy and as fast as a true blood vampire moves.

That is an incredible compliment bro. Thank you :)

Naw, thank you for the tutorial! For the entire time I have been vaping I was looking for the right setup. The RM2 with cotton was it.

I also have the cyclone and the RM2. I also prefer the Cyclone. Ive tried silica and a cotton / microcoil. At the moment , im using a .08 microcoil with 28 ga.kanthal and im loving it, Its the first microcoil ive had that has worked ( Thanks to superx and bigcloudz) The silica coil at the same ohms is about the same for me so i still do both depending on my mood. The other reasons I prefer the cyclone over the ERA or the RM2 is because on the rm 2 , the hole in the deck was allowing my juice to drain back in the bottle and it was turning black and tasted nasty. I guess this is because at .08 ohms , the coil is hotter and the juice that hits the coil gets burnt and flows back in the bottle. The cyclone juice feed hole is in built onto the positive post and doesnt allow juice to drain back in the bottle so the juice stays fresh and clean when using the cyclone. The Cyclone is also shorter, skinnier and way prettier than the RM2 in my opinion. Its also just as easy to build . I also have a cyclone top dripper with the top cap drilled to 2mm so i can swap that cap out with the cyclone on my reo when i want to blow the super big chewy clouds and when i want more throat hit and less vapor (in public) i use the cap with the stock hole. The other thing i dont like about the RM2 is the screw on cap - my airhole on the rm2 will not line up directly in front of the coil which reduces vapor. I know i can use o rings etc. to rig it up but I dont like having to do that .I have three reos , mechanical and VV ( I greatly prefer the mechanical and will sell my VVGs) but for me , the only thing i will put top of them is the Cyclone. red rreo.jpg

I have the Cyclone along with the Cyclops adjustable air intake. Some have said that it does not fit on the Reo when using the Cyclops but as there is a double O-ring seal, although it does not engage onto both O-rings, it sits squarely in the catch cup and holds very well. I have not had any leaks or had ant problems with the Cyclops coming off.
I dont see a lot of difference in vape quality between the Cyclone and the RM2 but prefer the RM2 based on the ease of re-coiling

I tried that with mine and it just falls right off. I've tried different sized o-rings and dental floss. Do you screw the Cyclone all the way down?

Anyone tried fitting a dual coil to the cyclone
Frank

That's all I use with my Cyclone (w/AFC). I've never been able to get the performance out of the Cyclone like I have the RM2...even with identical coils. I like the Cyclone but it doesn't perform for me on my Reos like the RM2 does. I've found it much more enjoyable as a dual coil dedicated dripper on my Magneto.

the only problem with using it with only 1 o ring engaging like that is the airholes will be much higher so you have to raise the coils, killing the feed design, you can't have the coils right off the deck the way they should be or they'll be way below the airholes, when the cap is all the way down the airholes line up right to the coils right off the deck. I milled the top of my reo flush so it can work better with the cyclone and not sit as high with the afc, it sits flush and the coils right off the deck are right in the air flow windows and it kicks azz with duals, as good as a tiny chamber rm2 but X2, the cyclone with it's larger chamber really needs the duals though, the chamber is too large to ever match the flavor of a tiny chambered atty with just a single coil, duals will half the chamber volume to coil ratio in this atty, which is key to a tiny chamber atty like an rm2's having such great taste, all the tiny chambered atty's taste better than larger chambers, this is why the stuff like kayfuns are so highly regarded for great flavor too, tiny chamber volume to coil ratio with direct airflow over the coil, a larger chamber with dual coils acts like a tiny chamber single coil and gives great flavor, but then it gives double so it's a really nice flavorful warm rich thick vape, so nice

if you don't want to cut the reo you really should add a 510-510 spacer so you can get airflow and feed as intended with this atty and afc head combo, it works awesome when you can get it to sit all the way down on both orings, the cap sitting up high only on the first oring kills the whole airflow and feed design and creates even more chamber volume killing flavor, you're not really getting all this thing can give by having it installed like that :)

Thanks Turbocad,
I had not even thought of that. I am following your other thread with great interest. I must admit I have not found any difference in vape quality by having the AFC slightly higher. I will try a 510 to 510 adaptor plus a duel coil in both variations of cap height.
I think it looks fugly with a 510 to 510 and I would have to give some serious thought to trimming the top of the juice cup as presumably an RM2 would look odd with the milled bottom. I will have to ask Rob if he sells an un-milled version of the RM2.

Cheers
