Welp, odd woman out here. I'm experiencing a bit of a love/hate with the Fresia.

First off, they are beautiful looking. Aesthetically, just marvelous. I also love the ease of the top fill.

However ---

I have not tried the bobble glass and who knows, perhaps that would help, but for now, I can only speak to the guzzly 2ml tank.

NO idea what's wrong, but there are hits that are just joyous and dense and lovely. Then suddenly, I'm tasting what is reminiscent of a burnt coil. It makes NO sense. The good hits have a somewhat "gurgly" (juicy?) sound to the liquid in the tank. The awful hits are dry in terms of the sound of the liquid in the tank.

I'm running two of them, one with Rayonetti and one with Cottonetti. I've rewicked both quite a few time, and they keep switching in good/bad/good/bad. It truly is an enigma at this point.

DPL has encouraged me to just set them aside for now, and I may heed that wise(...) advice. ;) :D

So, my dear Fresias,,,

Posting mainly so you get an alert. :) I've noticed the build deck is awfully close to the glass... The air might be getting trapped underneath the build deck. Are your juices mainly VG based? also, when you vape, Try vaping it more horizontally, giving the air plenty of opportunity to reach the top of the tank.

My Zenith and my eGo One with CLR coils aren't that bad. And sooooooooooo easy. Thank God for the blister packs!
And thank you for sharing your thoughts on that vapor lock with us here.
No problem.. I am still carrying a second atomizer (goblin mini) with me just in case, but so far, this looks like it might become my main atomizer. Airflow on restricted lung setting is right up my alley, and I've had zero problems with builds/leaks. I got the Gunmetal one which looks good on my black mods (even though the black mods look horrible now). I've been fooled before thinking I've found a replacement for the Goblin, but hey have all had build issues. (Merlin had spinning deck issues, Smok Spirals had supply issues and cheap deck screws (stripped them way too easy) Goblin 2 had leaking issues, I have 2 clones (Siren 2/KayfunV5) , but I think my Fresia will end up being my main. (knocking on wood)

Understated (IMO). Still my all-around favorite vape, and I no longer even bother comparing anything to it. Personal, these opinions. ;)

On the Fresia, I wonder if the fact that I'm using mine on tube mods is making them work well. I just did a quick "test", and found that I do turn them up flat/horizontal, which I apparently don't always do with my boxes.

Hmmm... interesting. THANKS!

Neal, thank you. I do appreciate the info.

I think in my case that it was just a question of wicking. I've gone thru the now infamous (?) vapor locking, and also major big time leaking.

After the last rewick (with cotton), I think I finally hit the sweet spot as it's vaping perfectly.

I DO tho, really like your suggestion of horizontal vapes.

(My preferred ratio with vlqiuid is 65/35, just by the way.)

Any tips? Stuff, fluff, trim, touch the deck?

And here's one for you--just to ruin your day, Darling: :-x

California Statewide Flavor Ban?

Please write! I'm writing now, as we speak. I'm so mad I can hardly breathe.

Tips, dahlink? As Danny Reagan would say about his chicken dinner when asked how he made it... "Put it in the oven and PRAY!"

I dunno, sweetie. I used the DPLongo method of wicking. Pay careful attention to the instructions:

"Make the wick not too tight and not too loose."

(Good start, eh? :D )

I also used the (oh dayum, who is the YouTuber??) video method of gently pushing the wick into the opening of the channel, then trimming off that last little bit that didn't want to go in without a major shove. I'm sorry, I'm so YouTube'd I just can't recall who did it that way. And no, no deck touching allowed, altho Rip likes HIS that way.

Not much fluff, cuzza, welp, I'm not a fluffer.

As for the flavor ban..... what can I say. We've seen the writing on the wall for a LONG time now. Thankfully, Team KD & DPL started our stocking up process FIVE years ago.

Oh, I'm fine, too, but I just hate those stoopid people in charge and their arrogance and abuses of power. Grrr....

And no, I didn't vote for any of them.

Glad you got it going better @Katdarling - Vic's cutting the top off method is one I haven't tried, I'll give it a go next wicking :thumb:

It looks quicker than my current wick, thin and shove/poke it in the lil hole method ;)

BTW you two  - the tips touched down in NZ today :banana::banana:

Ange, thank you! I'm happy as well, and yet I have zero klue if Vic's method is better than any other, but I was at wit's end with this tank. Yet, its beauty and elegance drove me into a madness that only I kould konquer. I HAD to make it work.

    If it's not Scottish....... ;)
